ANDRÉHN-SCHIPTJENKO AT ART BRUSSELS
23 - 26 April, 2026
Brussels Expo, booth 5C-18
Andréhn-Schiptjenko is delighted to return to Art Brussels with a selection of works by Martin Jacobson, Sabine Mirlesse, Sixten Sandra Österberg and Sally von Rosen. Bringing together four distinct artistic voices working across painting and sculpture, the presentation highlights practices that explore perception, the body, and the psychological and material forces that shape our experience of the world.

Thank you @dollartstore and everyone who came to the best AW ever this Friday!
I was invited by DollArt to collaborate on an exhibition that focuses on presenting the artists’ creative processes. The project centers on making visible the development behind the works, giving a glimpse into how ideas evolve from ideas to finished piece. As part of this, I presented a half-finished painting alongside sketches, drawings and texts from the past six years, materials that had mostly only been seen by me. Which was quite exposing and very fun<3
Thank you @lohallen and @erika.kristofersson.bredberg ! Dollartstore u are amazing!
Sixten Sandra Österberg’s painting is characterised by a representation of bodies taking form on the canvas, but also losing their form as they pulsate between realism and abstraction. Realistically depicted environments dissolve into fragmentary stillness and explosive discharges of paint. This creates a complex duality where the different modes of expression together form an enigmatic world to decipher. Detailed portraits of people from various subcultures, the queer community, float in and on layers of paint - giving space for
other, not always given, expressions and gestures.

The exhibition Familjen på gott och ont is on view at Sven-Harrys Museum in Stockholm until September 13. I’m delighted to be included with my painting Landing featured in the show 🎊
We met with Sixten Sandra Österberg to speak about painting as a driving force and the role of creativity in shaping her practice.
“For me and I think for many, to be an artist is to have an unstoppable, vibrant creative force that must be heard and let out. It’s a constant longing for exploration and to bring ideas to life.”
Her work is rooted in that sense of momentum where painting becomes a space for unfolding ideas and sustained exploration.
Looking ahead, that openness remains central.
“I will continue to dive into the endless possibilities of painting, also it’s time to get that second dog!”

Just opened!🤝😋! The Gothenburg Museum of Art presents a major exhibition dedicated to one of art history’s most enduring and fascinating motifs: the human body. I am happy to participate with my work “Carpenter and Dreamer” that the museum recently acquired.
It’s so special to have my work in dialogue with one of my favorite portraits ever: Portrait of Venny Soldan-Brofeldt by Hanna Hirsch. Go and see us!
Thank you @goteborgskonstmuseum ❤️
The exhibition runs March 7, 2026 – January 17, 2027.
Happy to share that my work “The Kiss” has been acquired by the Ståhl Collection. It’s currently on view as part of their newly opened exhibition “GENERATIONER.” Great to be showing alongside friends and colleagues😋
A little late, but new year, same dreams, I’m excited🤝 Starting 2026 with a new computer (same model Tradera 700 kr) after riding hard with this baddie for 9 years.
