My work explores the tension between human relationships and emotion through oil painting.
People and I began as a way to process my feelings toward people who have been significant in my life. Over time, that process turned inward, leading me to create self-portraits that capture fleeting moments of how I see myself, sadness, calmness, uncertainty.
Alongside these are portraits of past relationships, all painted after separation. Through them, I reflect on love and loss, not to define who these people are, but to express the emotional weight they carried; and to invite you to reflect on your own experiences.

It belongs to an ongoing series of people who had an impact on me and whom I cared for.
People in my life.
People whom I’ve loved and have left a mark on me. I oftentimes think that people who have left your life never really gone. Their memories stay with you a lifetime. And they shaped who you are and influenced you.
