First Semester: Done! ā
What a journey it has been. Diving back into the academic world has been an incredibly fulfilling and eye-opening experience. Iāve been reading and writing like crazy, and itās been so inspiring to see the world through a different lens outside of my dancing career. Iāve also met some truly fantastic people and professors along the way.
To my dancer friends: yes, I am still dancing! Iām still taking classes and even auditioning for a show or two. Iām not āretiredā just yet; Iām simply enjoying the challenge of doing it all at once. Itās a balancing act, but definitely not impossible.
I canāt wait for the summer semester. Letās go!

After 9 years, I finally got to hug my mom and dad again. And 10 years with my brother!
Living as an immigrant brings many opportunities, but also many challengesāand being away from family is one of the hardest. Weāve all changed over these years: older, wiser, now grandparents, parents, uncles, auntsā¦ but the love remains the same, and it always will.
Hug your loved ones every chance you getātoday, tomorrow, and every time youāre together.
We had a fantastic time in Spain, and now, as I sit on the plane back to NYC, I canāt help but reflect on all the steps I took in these 9 years to make this moment possible. The journey wasnāt easy, but the outcome is simple and priceless: I got to hug my parents one more time.
Iām already missing my loved ones, but I know one thing for sureāthis time, it wonāt be another 9 years. ā¤ļø
