✨ 2023 has been an incredible year! We still can’t believe that all this happened in just 365 days: 2 big Open Calls, more than 50 artists from 8 different countries, 1,500 posters, 1 Riso, 10 drums, 1 new space, called Sito Print Club in collaboration with @lobster_studio in their @l44.space 1 international street art exhibition in Brazil and Colombia with @visionary.found 2 workshops with serigraphy and risography gurus @multiple_editions (ES) and @quintal_atelier (FR), Several unforgettable workshops in different parts of Bulgaria, and an incredible number of new artists in Linocut, Ebru, Cyanotype and Screenprinting that discovered new techniques in our studio on Tsar Simeon 66. 💖 You’ve already seen a lot of this, and even more remains behind the scenes. It was an incredibly busy year for our small team and our big Sito Studio family. We are grateful to every artist, teacher and organization that was with us along this path. On the eve of its 12th anniversary, Sito Studio and its team are setting off on a short journey, during which they will share how the studio was created and how it naturally evolved into the shared space Sito Print Club (in partnership with L44), how workshops are organized, and how an artist can work independently while creating their own art products. 💥 🙌 In addition to the short lecture, attendees will have the chance to experience the magic of handmade printing themselves. 👕 Everyone is invited to bring a T-shirt or tote bag and print a pre-prepared design. The zine is the result of an open call organized with @vij.magazine which received over 150 submissions, and has now become a printed reality. It features 44 colorful pages of original illustrations. Tomorrow we will share the story behind printing the first part of the edition — how, after a series of mistakes, the RISO machine gave up on us, and why it’s worth not giving up even when things don’t go as planned. Изданието е креативен резултат от отворената покана, в която се включиха над 150 артисти. По време на събитието нашите домакини от Sito Studio ще разкажат за епичното печатане на първата част на тиража – как след серия от грешки RISO машината ни предаде и защо не бива да се отказваме, дори и когато нещата не се получават по начина, по който сме очаквали.
