It’s International Women’s Day again, and everywhere the message is about giving more to women so that society can gain. But I keep thinking about what it actually means to “give.” Women have been giving for a very long time. - Giving their labour. - Giving emotional strength. - Giving silence in rooms where speaking up would cost them respect, opportunity, or safety. Yet misogyny still shapes everyday life. Women still calculate safety before stepping outside at night. Women still move through public spaces with an awareness men rarely have to carry. Even competence is questioned differently when it comes from a woman. And this isn’t just a Nigerian reality. Across the world, the stories are similar, women navigating systems that were not designed with them in mind, and often still resisting their presence. So when I hear the idea of giving to women so we can gain as a society, I understand the intention. But I also think something deeper is missing. If we only focus on giving to women without balancing it by raising, teaching, and shaping men differently, we are only solving half the problem. If boys are not taught respect, empathy, and responsibility in equal measure, then the burden will continue to fall on women to keep adjusting to the same structures. And one day society may swing to the other extreme, running campaigns to repair the damage done to boys who were never properly guided. Real progress is not a cycle that keeps correcting itself every generation. Real progress is balance. A world where women do not have to constantly prove their worth, and men are raised with the awareness that equality is not a threat to them. Until then, the conversation will keep repeating itself. And that is not progress. Anyways, Happy International Women’s Day! #iwd2026 #iwd26 #givetogain Jewelry pieces from @jklovesjewelry

Happy Birthday to my pastor, my father, my leader, and my mentor, PTG. @tope.godson Today, I celebrate not just the day you were born, but the life you have lived and the countless lives you have touched along the way. For over 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of knowing you, learning from you, and witnessing the depth of your wisdom, integrity, and unwavering faith. You are a shepherd who leads with conviction, yet your heart is full of compassion for every member of the flock. You have the rare ability to speak truth while loving gently, to guide with clarity while inspiring hope, and to lead across generations, understanding each of us in our unique seasons. Your life is a living testimony of faithfulness, and your influence has shaped me, challenged me, and encouraged me to grow in ways I never thought possible. Through your prayers, your counsel, and your example, I’ve learned what it means to walk intentionally, to lead humbly, and to love deeply. May this year be filled with even greater strength, joy, and divine favor. May God continue to enlarge your influence, protect your family, and reward your labor abundantly. Thank you for being a true father, mentor, and guide. We celebrate you today, and every day. Happy Birthday, Pastor. We love you and honor you.

The compliments on Facebook are getting to my head a little, so let me calm down small and do a proper introduction 😌 This is my family. The people who shaped me, grounded me, corrected me, prayed for me, and loved me long before any social media validation. The strength you see, the confidence, the values, the culture, none of it started today. It started here. We carry more than just matching outfits in this photo. We carry history, discipline, laughter, resilience, and a deep sense of identity. Every smile here represents years of sacrifice, shared stories, inside jokes, hard conversations, and unwavering support. I’m proud of where I come from. Omo Ute! I’m proud of the foundation that raised me. And I don’t take for granted the privilege of having people who stand solidly behind me. So yes, the compliments are sweet, but this right here is the real flex. My family.

Happy New Month! Few days ago, I was in a mentoring class that the amazing @busayoworld put together for us and one of the take home for me was to put myself back out there, regardless of the setback I experienced when my previous account was removed. Baby steps but this is my accountability post!
