A celebratory post for the studio turning a year old! I had this sweet family in the studio about a year ago for this guys newborn session.

Let’s talk about morning light!
The studio is north facing which means sunlight never directly comes in through the front window. We do however have an east facing side window which lets in tons of morning light. Between 8am and 12pm there is a beautiful spot of sunshine that travels through the space. I often use this to side light my clients in the corner of the studio. It adds so much depth to my galleries and I love it! Always DM me if you have lighting questions ✨
Hello and welcome to the studio page! I thought it was time to do another introduction and share my story behind finding the studio. I’m Tristan Singleton, a St. Louis Family Photographer and the owner of Singleton Studio.
Originally in the wedding industry, I felt drawn to shift fully to families in 2023. With this shift I knew I needed an indoor space to create work year round and not stick to the spring and fall burnout that commonly restricts family photographers. So the hunt was on!
I searched for 6 months looking for the perfect space and it was honestly a very difficult season of doubt. I pulled into the now studio parking lot after driving all round the Kirkwood, Webster area with tears in my eyes feeling absolutely defeated. I lifted my eyes to notice the for rent sign hung up in the now Singleton Studio front window. Without hesitation I grabbed my phone and called the number. The owner said it had already been claimed… I was fixated on the studio and told him that if anything happens to the current deal please reach out. Long story short, I opened my hands and said Lord lead the way. I got a call just two days before I was going to sign with another space that the studio was open for grabs again.
I walked through the space and signed the lease that same day. So nervous but equally excited. Swipe to see what I signed a lease on..so much work had to go into this space and it was so worth it.
