Meet our Co-Producer/Creator!
Rohan Singhal has one vision in mind: to be a passionate filmmaker. Growing up in India with a love of watching films, his passion blossomed in high school where he shot fun Youtube sketches with friends. Before graduating from Vancouver Film School in 2024, he worked on several music videos, podcasts and short films in the Post-Production department. Now, after specializing in Producing and Post-Production, it allows him to hone his skills when creating projects such as Sit With It and Pieces of Us as Line Producer and Colorist respectively.
He is very passionate about telling stories that resonate on a deep emotional level and explore the human condition. He believes in the power of film to connect people, evoke empathy and challenge perceptions. His focus is on creating films that balance meaningful narratives with visual storytelling, aiming to bring untold or underrepresented stories to life. With a keen eye for detail and a dedication to authentic storytelling, Rohan strives to create films that leave a lasting impact on audiences.
As the creator of The Way Home, his intentions are to bring light and awareness in familial loss, for men to express their emotions and the role reversal between parents and children allows for healthier relationships. He created this film to also explore the emotional complexities of loss and the delicate balance parents face in protecting their children's innocence while guiding them through difficult truths. Through this journey of searching for the characters’ lost dog, this film highlights how even small gestures of hope can help us navigate the pain of loss and reflect the universal struggle to hold onto hope, even when the truth is hard to face. He is happy to be working with his friends in creating a project such as this one and hopes to continue doing so in the future.
