As part of the London Craft Week @vandrarugs will also reveal a special collaboration with a British textile designer, @neishacrosland .
Featuring The Radar Rug, which is woven using tapestry technique, allowing for exceptional control and detail. The tight yet supple weave offers a rich medium for artistic expression, thus, the zigzags radiating from a single corner point create a vibrant geometric rhythm.

Here our team installed our Stratos carpet in Woodpecker as a stair runner.
It beautifully ties together the plum woodwork and golden yellow that you can see peeking through at the end of the hallway.

Alpaca wool has long been known as a luxury item, with the Incas referring to it as the ‘fibre of the gods’. The Dessau collection is woven using yarn exclusively shorn from Alpacas raised in the Peruvian highlands, approximately 15,000 feet above sea level. This creates a raw material that is both softer and stronger than your average wool fibre. The Dessau collection includes 8 designs and over 30 standard colourways, so there is something for every project. . . .

The mill in which the Dessau collection is woven is built on notions of community; the alpacas are raised and trimmed by local farmers. Their wool is then dyed and woven by a team of highly skilled craftspeople who use a mix of modern and traditional techniques. From start to finish, this all takes place in the same region, a rarity in textile manufacturing. .
