The countdown to Wow! house is well and truly on! Just a week from Monday…Changing Rooms style madness will descend on @designcentrech as some of the best in the industry get together to whip up some incredible spaces - open to the public 2nd June - 2nd July. We are thrilled to be involved this year - designing a room (or two!) for @blackedition_byromo 😊 Hidden behind the chocolate fabric panelled walls of the Speakeasy Salon will be this magical little concealed bar - as illustrated here by the very clever @syaleen.stokes 🤎 We are collaborating with some wonderfully talented makers and suppliers to create a very special space. Talking banquette seating today - always firmly on our Clients’ wish lists and for good reason. An incredibly versatile choice - banquettes work well for relaxed meals, breakfast, coffee or cocktails with friends, and they also function really well as games tables. They do usually work best in a small scale…or when there is an alternative larger dining table option. They are excellent space savers in tighter spaces, and offer a welcome bridge between relaxed seating and a more structured dining table. SPOTLIGHT on the ‘teeny, tiny, entrance hall console’ - a must have for any London terrace…or otherwise diminutively sized hallway. Above a radiator, on ‘the long wall’ or with a mirror to bounce around light in what is often dark, narrow space…we design these so often in our projects that it made sense to design our own for @trovebystudioduggan - ours has a little drawer for keys, letters, etc - and space for a candle and a small votive of flowers. The easiest way to lift a narrow hall and I challenge you to find a hallway she won’t fit in! 🪞💛🪞 #studioduggan #entrancehall #mirrormirror
