For the third year in a row (!!), Sincerely Pete has been named a Top Vendor in Washingtonian Weddings for 2026… and my heart is very full. Humanism teaches that every person has inherent worth and dignity, and that meaning is found in the relationships we build and the love we share. To be trusted with telling those stories, and then to feel seen and celebrated in return, means more than I can fully express. Thank you to the couples, planners, and creative partners who continue to welcome me into such human moments. To be seen and loved anyway… that’s the whole point. 🤍 📸 @maddywilliamsphotography

The world feels heavy sometimes… headlines, heartbreak, the noise of it all. But beneath it, there’s still this quiet, steady truth: love is the whole point. Not just romantic love, but the kind that shows up in kindness, in care, in community. The kind that reminds us we belong to one another, even when things feel divided. That’s what Humanism is about: finding meaning not in what separates us, but in what connects us. So today, and every day, let’s choose love. In big ways, in small ways, in every possible way. 🌿 #SincerelyPete #HumanistCelebrant #LoveIsTheWholePoint #ChooseLove #ModernLove #humanisminaction

So grateful to be sharing this ✨ I’m honored to be named one of Virginia Living Magazine’s Best Wedding Officiants once again. Out of the entire state, only seven officiants were selected — and to be included in that group is truly humbling. Huge congratulations to the other recipients, especially my friend Rev. Mary Stone (@revmarystoneceremonies ) in Northern Virginia and the incredible Lucky In Love Chapel (@luckyinlovechapel ) right here in Richmond. Being in such good company makes this recognition even sweeter. ✨ Starting the new year with this designation from Virginia Living Magazine is an incredible reminder of why I love this work — telling love stories and creating ceremonies that actually feel like you. Thank you to my couples, vendor friends, and community for trusting me with such meaningful moments. Here’s to more love stories ahead 🫶🏻🥂🥰 Planner: Amy Marie Events @amymarieevents Florist: Amy Marie Events @amymarieevents Hair and Makeup: Amanda M Perry LLC @amandaperry.hair.airbrush Officiant: Sincerely Pete @sincerelypete Photographer: Nicki Metcalf @nickimetcalfphotography Videographer: Drape in White @drapedinwhite Rentals: Rent-E-Quip @rentequipva Wedding Dress: Made with Love, Lovely Bride in NYC @lovelybridenyc Tux: Black Tux @theblacktux bride: @maddypellow groom: @joshcox_training

There are weddings that feel beautiful, and then there are weddings that feel alive. 🦋✨ Kelly & Will’s incredible spring celebration at the Anderson House was exactly that — overflowing with elegance, movement, symbolism, and the kind of energy that makes every brushstroke feel electric. From capturing their ceremony overlooking the breathtaking winter garden reflecting pool, to watercoloring guests throughout the evening in all their spring finery, every moment felt like stepping into a living painting. Their large-scale piece became layered with beautiful symbolism woven throughout the night — soft reflections in the water, fluttering butterfly details, glowing florals, and the warmth of every person surrounding them with love. And truly, this dream team made magic happen. Endless gratitude to Peachy Keen Events, Well Dunn Catering, Abby with Kir2Ben, and Sincerely Pete Events — some of my absolute favorite people to create alongside. The entire event flowed with such effortless beauty and intention, but it was Kelly & Will themselves who elevated everything around them. Their joy was contagious, their love so deeply felt, and their guests carried that same warmth all night long. What an honor it was to paint not only their story, but the elegance and spirit of everyone gathered within it. 🕊️🎨🦋 Venue | @eventsatandersonhouse Planning, Coordination and Rentals | @peachy_keen_events Photography | @kir2ben Invitations & Paper | @showandkel g Catering and Bar | @welldunncatering Videography | @travelhousefilms Florist | @springvalefloral Live Painting | @spencergraceartspace Hair | @amandafioritahair Officiant | @sincerelypete Strings | @cherryblossomstringquartet Valet | @mjvalet1

Spring showed up right on time 🌸✨ The first full day of Spring 2026—we had the absolute honor of planning and designing a wedding that felt like pure magic from start to finish. From the first detail to the final send-off, every moment was filled with joy—nonstop fun, incredible music that kept everyone dancing, and a feast of amazing food and desserts. Our floral design brought the season to life with a soft, romantic color palette—bouquets and centerpieces filled with delicate yellow poppies, salmon-colored ranunculus, and pale blue delphinium, creating an airy, garden-inspired elegance. As the sun set, it painted the sky in the most breathtaking colors, giving us one of those unforgettable, pause-and-take-it-all-in moments. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better… cardboard kitty cats made their unforgettable appearance and completely stole the show 🐱💛 Being trusted to bring this vision to life was truly something special. A perfect day, a perfect couple, and memories we’ll cherish forever. #charlottesvilleweddingplanner #charlottesvilleweddingflorist #springweddingflowers #mountidawedding

One of my favorite parts of a ceremony is something most guests never hear. The quiet whispers. The little reactions. The joy shared between two people in the middle of a life-changing moment. Shane wore a mic during their ceremony and it captured something truly special. Chelsea’s soft commentary throughout the ceremony was sweet, funny, and completely genuine — the kind of joy that can’t be scripted and shouldn’t be. It’s a beautiful reminder that while weddings are filled with meaningful traditions, the most unforgettable moments are often the smallest ones — shared quietly between two people who are completely in love. And I have to say… I’m officially obsessed with ceremony hot mics. A huge shout out to @michaellemleyfilms for capturing this ceremony & wedding day so beautifully!! Some weddings feel meaningful in ways that are hard to put into words… and this was one of them. Celebrating Kimberly and Frank at the Willard InterContinental was not only beautiful because of their love story- steady, honest, and rooted in everyday choosing, but also deeply personal for me. In my mid-20s, I moved to Washington, DC to begin my career as a Conference Services Manager at the Willard. I supported various conferences, diplomatic events, and visits from Prime Ministers and Presidents before eventually moving into “Willard Weddings”. That season of my life shaped me in profound ways, both professionally and personally. Returning to the Willard over the years has always felt a little like coming home. In an industry known for constant turnover, the banquet team there remains remarkably consistent and truly impeccable. Their care, and quiet excellence continue to set the standard for hospitality at the highest level. So standing in that space again, this time officiating a marriage… felt full-circle in the most beautiful way. Kimberly and Frank, thank you for trusting me with your story and your ceremony. Your love is steady, genuine, and deeply real and it was an honor to begin this next chapter with you. Wherever life leads you next… may you keep choosing each other, every single day. 🤍 Venue @willard_intercontinentaldc Planner @lauralouiseevents_design Photo @maddywilliamsphotography Video @laurelandfilms Florist @darlinganddaughters Sound/DJ @djcraigwood Music @cherryblossomstringquartet #willardwedding #dcwedding #dcweddingofficiant

Lately, I’ve been coming back to one core truth: we are better when we are connected. This January, I stepped into a reset retreat with the DMV Wedding Collective, and it offered exactly what I needed—time to slow down, reflect, and share space with other wedding professionals who care deeply about their work and the people behind it. In a season when the state of our country feels heavy and uncertain, being in community felt steadying and affirming. As a humanist, I believe meaning is created through relationship—through conversation, collaboration, and the simple act of showing up for one another. This year, I’m feeling especially called to connect more intentionally in person: more real dialogue, shared experiences, and mutual support. If you’re a fellow vendor or wedding pro craving more connection this year, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s grab coffee, walk a property, attend something together, or simply make space to connect. 🤍 @dmvweddingcollective @morgankayphoto
