We Are All Artists
This award has traditionally gone to a film with an extraordinary protagonist that has particularly inspired, delighted or surprised us. This year that person is beach artist @billys_beachart@simonratigan chose to shoot the film in black and white which adds a stunning clarity to the aerial shots of Billy Bartlett’s beautiful symmetrical large scale designs etched into the sands of Cornwall.
These works are an intriguing example of how human beings can interact with nature. As with any adventure, they require planning, dedication, skill.. they are beautiful while they last but the next day, gone.
We Are All Artists was much loved by our communities who screened it. A leftfield choice, a wildcard. Wonderful.
