These are the first pictures of my contribution to the incredible collab #newhashima which was displayed at Brickworld Chicago 23.
First I have to thank everyone who was involved in that project and helped my to realize my build. Starting with Stefan (@stefanbuildslego ) who organized this huge project and thankfully invited me to be part of it. Also Simon (@si_mocs ) who helped me figuring out a viable design and organized many of the needed parts. And without the kindness of Jordan (@generaljj_builds ) to take those awesome pictures I won't be able to show you my build!
This build was such an extreme experience. I started to work on that project last October pretty much at the same time as my arcitecture study began which is quite time expensive. Since Febuary I spent all my freetime on building that thing. I was quite a rush till the end. Looking back now I still can't beliefe how I found the time to pull that off. I feel like there are still a bunch of things that could be done better with more time. But at the end I am just overwhelmingly happy how everything tured out in the end.
To close it off, enjoy the detail shots and let me know your feedback in the comments below. Next up will be the wide angle shots with more info on the build.

Some more pictures of New Hashima Sector 22: Offshore ๐๐ฝ๐ฅณ. While looking through all the nice pictures from Atlanta and waiting for the Bricktastic ones, I also love to remember what we built in Fรผrth ๐๐ค. Itโs cool to see how many awesome and inspiring NH collabs come to life. Building this city with so many talented builders was the nerdiest thing Iโve ever done in my life ๐ค๐. And I loved it woop wooop woooooop ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ๐ฅณ.

Digitally designed over a year ago I built 5 of those little cargo trucks early last year for the @newhashimacollab at Brickworld Chicago. Thanks to @si_mocs you can finally enjoy some high quality pictures of that truck which found a new home in Canada. FUN FACT: that one travled well over 19000km/11800mi :o
Design wise I tried to find a way sqeezing a truck into the six stud wide road standart of NEW HASHIMA which is capable to transport shrinked down versions of @blakefosterafol fancy cargo containers. All in all over a year later I am still in love with that design and might restock the fleet for some future conventiones after gifting/trading a bunch of them.
Regarding LEGO goals for the new year it's all about NEW HASHIMA again. But this time in Europe...

Imagine a world thatโs completely overpopulated. People got creative. They found all kinds of places to live. On these old oil rigs, they built their new mega city. Now they all live there โ packed together in the tightest space. High tech, low life. welcome to New Hashima sector 22C Offshore.

You can see this part of sector 22 in @lebrickgomuseum near Basel
Itโs crazy. It doesnโt matter how many times you look at a New Hashima collab, you will always spot new details that you didnโt notice before. Scroll through the pictures to see as much of them as possible. Some of my (@simonschweyerlego ) personal highlights are in the first Picture. Itโs the last of my 12 cubes I built for this collab and I just built it in the last week before the setup. And this is usually the time when I get the most creative. There are some creative part uses in there: old red ship, 2 old LEGO Duplo screwdrivers and then those brown rock rider thingies (I donโt even know their name). In the second picture you can spot Janโs fantastic speeder and of course his working screen which is also a huge flex. Swipe through the pictures to explore more corners of this collab.
@fcbasel1893 ๐โค๏ธ๐ How could we not include a graffiti of the local soccer club? This is one of my favourite Easter eggs in this New Hashima layout. I think my favourite Scene is on the second picture: Thereโs this korean chicken nuggets Fabrik and some activists from ALF and WWF who destroyed the fence. Now all the chicken are free and the cooks try to catch as many of them as possible. swipe through all the pictures to see more cool details. also, on the last slide you can see a picture of us three who set up this NH collab.
Weโre happy to tell you that you can see a part of New Hashima Sector 22 Offshore in the @lebrickgomuseum near Basel. @jastabricks@simonmocs Patric G. and me (@simonschweyerlego ) built this thing together. Most parts of it were built and exhibitet at Bricking Bavaria 2024. But there are 7 more cubes, a whole new small oil platform and a big boat. It was so much fun to set this up with you guys. We startet at 11 in the morning and finished shortly after midnight. Jan and Simon, you are so talented builders and building this together with you was a huge pleasure. Also a huge thank you to the museum for exhibiting our model.
The moment when we finally set up New Hashima Sector 22 ๐๐๐ฅณ. These are the last pictures I have not shown online. I loved building this city with you guys! Thank you @simonmocs and @jastabrick and @si_mocs for organizing this collab. You guys really rocked it ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พ!
NEVER SKIP LEG DAY ๐๐ฆฟ. I guess thatโs what @simonmocs and @jastabrick were thinking for the whole last year ๐๐๐ฝ. And the legs that they built were truly beautiful ๐ฑ๐. This collection of pictures focuses on the lower levels of New Hashima Sector 22. There was so much to see. The legs themselves. The spontaneously built bridge. So many cool ships and details all around it. And water with 93โ000 tiles ๐๐ฝ๐ช๐พ๐.

Welcome back to New Hashima with some detail shots of Sector 22 Offshore, where neon lights meet dystopian realities. In a world teetering on the edge of a cybernetic revolution and struggling with overpopulation, the Octan Corporation has reimagined survivalโconverting decommissioned oil platforms into sprawling housing for the masses.
This breathtaking cyberpunk creation is the next phase of the @newhashimacollab , featuring the work of over 60 talented builders. Premiered at @brickingbavaria 2024 in Germany, it showcases the gritty beauty of a futuristic megalopolis. To get more impressions of the collab head over to @newhashimacollab

More Pictures from New Hashima Sector 22 ๐๐ฝ๐ฅณ. The size of this collab was impressive. But the coolest thing were the many details everywhere. No chance to take pictures of all of them. Or to even spot them in person. There was so much to see and to discover ๐๐ฅณ๐๐.
โFind someone who looks at you the way LEGO builders look at their finished New Hashima collab ๐๐๐๐ฅ.โ You could see the joy in their eyes when we finally stared at New Hashima Sector 22. I tried to capture some of these emotions ๐๐ธ. And maybe youโll feel them too while looking through the pictures. The people who made this collab possible gave more than 100% ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พ๐ช๐พ. They were so passionate about this project. You could totally see and feel it. When there were problems, they were not afraid to spend time, money and energy to find a solution. They went all in. And thatโs what made it special for me. Thank you to everybody who was part of this โค๏ธ. Thank you that I could be part of this ๐ค๐ฅณ. - @simonschweyerlego
P.s. The last slide shows the start of SimonLUG ๐คช๐๐๐. We were 4 Simons from 4 different countries ๐ฉ๐ช๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ๐ฎ๐น building for Sector 22: @simonmocs@si_mocs@simonschweyerlego and @gonk_projects (saidly not on the picture, we didnโt take one with all 4 Simons ๐ญ)
