An afternoon at the LEbrickGO Museum in Binningen.
@lebrickgomuseum
We were kindly invited to explore this unique collection — and what began as a short visit quickly turned into hours of wandering between miniature worlds. My son moved from one model to the next, discovering tiny details everywhere — and still, we felt we had not seen it all.
In one corner we met friends, and soon the children were building together in the creative area, quietly inventing new worlds of their own.
The museum traces the story of LEGO® from its earliest bricks in 1958 to intricate moving models, glowing displays and entire galaxies built piece by piece. One highlight: the spectacular 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐇𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥, currently the tallest LEGO® model on display in Switzerland — 𝐨𝐧 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 till April 2026.
Before leaving, we stopped by the shop and found a few thoughtful LEGO® sets that will soon become birthday gifts for upcoming celebrations.
A place where imagination keeps building.

Imagine a world that’s completely overpopulated. People got creative. They found all kinds of places to live. On these old oil rigs, they built their new mega city. Now they all live there — packed together in the tightest space. High tech, low life. welcome to New Hashima sector 22C Offshore.

It’s crazy. It doesn’t matter how many times you look at a New Hashima collab, you will always spot new details that you didn’t notice before. Scroll through the pictures to see as much of them as possible. Some of my (@simonschweyerlego ) personal highlights are in the first Picture. It’s the last of my 12 cubes I built for this collab and I just built it in the last week before the setup. And this is usually the time when I get the most creative. There are some creative part uses in there: old red ship, 2 old LEGO Duplo screwdrivers and then those brown rock rider thingies (I don’t even know their name). In the second picture you can spot Jan’s fantastic speeder and of course his working screen which is also a huge flex. Swipe through the pictures to explore more corners of this collab.
@fcbasel1893 🏆❤️💙 How could we not include a graffiti of the local soccer club? This is one of my favourite Easter eggs in this New Hashima layout. I think my favourite Scene is on the second picture: There’s this korean chicken nuggets Fabrik and some activists from ALF and WWF who destroyed the fence. Now all the chicken are free and the cooks try to catch as many of them as possible. swipe through all the pictures to see more cool details. also, on the last slide you can see a picture of us three who set up this NH collab.
We’re happy to tell you that you can see a part of New Hashima Sector 22 Offshore in the @lebrickgomuseum near Basel. @jastabricks@simonmocs Patric G. and me (@simonschweyerlego ) built this thing together. Most parts of it were built and exhibitet at Bricking Bavaria 2024. But there are 7 more cubes, a whole new small oil platform and a big boat. It was so much fun to set this up with you guys. We startet at 11 in the morning and finished shortly after midnight. Jan and Simon, you are so talented builders and building this together with you was a huge pleasure. Also a huge thank you to the museum for exhibiting our model.
