Happy birthday to the love of my life @marcbretter you make everyday fun.
You’re the best dad, you’re funny, you’re silly, you are the best athlete (who sadly married the most uncoordinated woman possible), you have the BEST legs (please wear shorter shorts), you’re always ready to game, you’re the hardest worker (who deserves more vacations) you love to dance (I should get you dance lessons so you can let that freak flag fly), you are a big kid at heart, you make me smile, you are my rock, my safety, our family’s anchor. I love you. I love you. I love you! Happy birthday!!!
Jewelry is my other language. Always has been. Got to preview some incredible pieces from @heritageauctions and @heritagefinejewels upcoming Spring Fine Jewelry Signature Auction today and a few of them genuinely stopped me. If you love jewelry the way I love jewelry, and live in LA, the preview is open in Beverly Hills through Saturday, April 25. Auction is happening May 4. cc @angie_crabtree

Turns out I have a lot of thoughts and instagram is not the home for them. So I started a substack. With the intention to write more this year. I’m writing about fashion, shopping, interiors, pop culture — and the messier stuff too. career, body, aging, what i’m actually thinking.
It all lives there now. You can subscribe at the link in my bio and I will feel very seen 🔗
The last few months, in no particular order.
Made a vision board (never done that before). Had to think really hard about what I want from this next year > this life.
Celebrated both my parents turning 80 in the past month which really blows my mind and has made me think a lot about time. Time is a mindfuck and a thief. But I’m trying to make peace with it, because I know I’m powerless here.
Traveled. Celebrated many milestones, holidays, and each other. Got a tattoo for Linds in her actual signature. I fucking love it.
Played cards. Drank too much. Ate too much. Made some amends. Took some cute selfies that I’ll probably delete later lol.
Another year behind us. A new one ahead. No idea what it’ll bring. I’m thinking about how I will shape it, and how to make this one beautiful life feel as full as possible.
I love you @kharouche happy birthday mommy!!! I want to be like you when I grow up ♥️
Happy 80th birthday to my dad @mharouche ! a true legend in every sense of the word. Style, grace, passion and hustle. Came to America as a teenager, immigrated from Egypt with nothing but a dream. Built his life on instinct and sheer will. My inspiration.
The real man behind the Dos Equis character dubbed “the most interesting man in the world”
Feeling incredibly grateful today for you pops. I love you. Stay thirsty, my friends.
Simone Harouche doesn’t just style looks or design interiors — she creates feeling. Across fashion, product, and space, her work is a study in intentionality: every colour chosen for its mood, every detail in service of story. Raised by grandmothers whose tastes couldn’t have been more different, and shaped by instinct as much as inheritance, Simone’s lens is both deeply personal and universally felt.
In this week’s SIDIA Stories, she reflects on energetic influence, the rituals that help her return to self, and the slow, patient process of creating something that lasts. From moodboards to motherhood, she speaks to the art of protecting your creative pace — and why beauty, at its best, has soul.
A psychic told me to find you in pink skies.
Today was a day after your birthday, and
the sky couldn’t have been more pink tonight.
Even though you never liked celebrating your birthday, we still got together this year.
Ali made dinner at the same restaurant where we celebrated you and Sarah’s birthdays last year all together.
Kim got a purple Hansens cake for you, and your name was spelled wrong and we all laughed because we knew you’d be laughing about it too.
(G-d how I miss hearing you laugh).
All the kids were together too, and I know that would’ve made you so happy to see that, Lindz, they are all getting so big!!
I heard Tracy Chapman’s “fast car” more times than I can count this week. I know you loved that song but send me another sign, because I’m getting sick of that song.
(But, G-d how I miss hearing you sing).
The kids found butterfly decorations and we put them up in the kitchen for you. They are still hanging up.
I hope they never come down.
July 3rd will always be your day… (even though you despised your birthday).
Please send me more pink skies 💓💜🦋
I LOVE YOU.BFFAE BEFRI
At Citizens of Humanity, we’ve long paid tribute to the women who inspire us by naming our styles after them, and our latest fit is a deeply personal one. Meet The Lindz, a jean created in honor of devoted daughter, wife, mother, and cherished friend, Lindsay May Palevsky.
Lindsay embodied everything we value—grace, resilience, loyalty, and strength, leaving a lasting make on everyone who knew her. In her memory, we will be donating $50 from every pair of The Lindz sold on citizensofhumanity.com in 2025 to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (@netresearch ) to support its mission of funding critical research and advancing more effective treatments and a cure.
