I present to you, THE HEALING GARDEN.
This has been my passion project since May. I would be lying if I didn’t say that this summer has been a challenge healthwise. Physical pain. Tumor progression. Social seclusion. I think because of those challenges I dove into this project more than I originally planned, because however unorthodox it may seem, this is how I fight cancer. And that fight is daily. Sometimes it’s hour by hour and in the worst moments, minute by minute.
Every nature shot and sound you see was filmed and recorded in my backyard. Dozens of hours of footage of singular petals. Early mornings on the porch waiting for the blue jays to talk to each other before the neighborhood got noisy and active. Calling in my guys Dylan, Brett, and Boony to help bring it home creatively. My beautiful wife and son who not only allowed me the time to work on this thing, but who were active participants in it all summer. I have the sweetest sequence of them making homemade pesto in our kitchen that didn’t even make the cut.
This is a story of perseverance, growth, and love. The final two lines from this short doc are everything to me, and why it is I do what I do. Would mean the world if you shared it. 🧡
At Citizens of Humanity, we’ve long paid tribute to the women who inspire us by naming our styles after them, and our latest fit is a deeply personal one. Meet The Lindz, a jean created in honor of devoted daughter, wife, mother, and cherished friend, Lindsay May Palevsky.
Lindsay embodied everything we value—grace, resilience, loyalty, and strength, leaving a lasting make on everyone who knew her. In her memory, we will be donating $50 from every pair of The Lindz sold on citizensofhumanity.com in 2025 to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation (@netresearch ) to support its mission of funding critical research and advancing more effective treatments and a cure.

Over the weekend, a community of commitment and purpose was unmasked! 🎭 Supporters and special friends of NETRF gathered in New York City for "Masquerade," billed as the world's first immersive musical. This was a unique and joyful opportunity for us to show appreciation to these champions of neuroendocrine cancer research.
A special thank you to NETRF Board members Antony Detre and Elaine Nord (@sportographer01 ), whose generosity made this event possible.💙

This week, NETRF is at #AACR26 in San Diego, one of the world's largest cancer research conferences, with Chief Science Officer Anna Greene, Board Member Carrie Camino, and several NETRF-funded researchers raising awareness of neuroendocrine cancer.
Events like #AACR are critical for advancing cancer science, connecting the research community, and amplifying the patient voice.
Carrie's poster, "Thriving in the Gray," makes the case for patients and researchers working as true partners. As she puts it: "The best research happens when scientific expertise is combined with lived experience."

Each year, Wayne, Shay, and Alana Firsty take a moonlight walk in memory of Julie Seltzer Firsty, Wayne's wife and Shay and Alana's mother, who died from lung neuroendocrine cancer in 2014. With every walk, they fundraise for NETRF, and over the years, the generosity of their community has added up to something remarkable.
Recently, the Firsty and Seltzer families reached a milestone: sponsoring a NETRF Mentored Research Award focused on lung neuroendocrine cancer. In February, Wayne and Shay visited the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to meet the scientists their fundraising is helping to support. As Wayne put it, "What was once a goal is now a REALITY."
