The Installation piece " in the flesh" is approximately 8m tall and brings our human existence back to the basics and the hopefully humbling realization that all of us are essentially bodies. Attached to one another by tenuous and sometimes messy connections.Vulnerable and precious. Home to dreams and ambitions and underneath everything all equal. In an almost physically tangible sense it also talks about how we're all skinned and hung up to dry, in a place of immense vulnerability and reminds us of our strength. Four female connoted stockings are holding up the immense weight of this cascading avalanche of flesh, a naked and unaware humanity. Now that there's been a lot of story - posting by others, which is great:) here's my piece Kollektive Kollusion, currently on display at the @mkghamburg as part of the show "100 Jahre GEDOK" to celebrate the anniversary of this organization in support of female artists of all kind. It's a wonderful show and I am honored to be part of it and grateful for the excellent support by the people at the MKG. The piece looks kinda small like this but is approximately 4,5 m in diameter. Setting up at the @mkghamburg for the exhibition 100 years of GEDOK. That's the base for the installation Kollektive Kollusion. I do love the underlying structures, the architectural quality of the steel frame, pieces of their own. Opening 's on January 29zh at 7 pm. The installation's taken down, the exhibition's over. À corps perdu at @mus_verre in France. Before I took it down I took some photos.
