I first went to Saint Tropez in the early 80’s . Bardot, looking incroyable, came to the flower market chaque jour, surrounded by her chiens, and chaque jour somebody or other would buy her fleurs for her. Un homage to a natural beauty. The legs the hair the visage the insouciance! Un miracle de beauty. Her version of Je T’aime is delicious. Gainsbourg had to re-record it at the last minute with La Birkin because Bardot was worried her new garçon would blow a gasket when he heard it. RIP.
