Ayrson Heráclito invited to the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia by Koyo Kouoh. Born in Macaúbas, Bahia, Brazil in 1968, he is an artist, teacher and curator, with a unique perspective. His work highlights Afro-Brazilian roots and their sacred elements, projecting actions and practices that make up the history and culture of the black population. His works are materialized in installations, performances, photographs and audiovisual productions that deal with the connections between the African continent and the black diasporas in the Americas. His works are held in important collections as Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Museum der Weltkulturen, Frankfurt; Pinacoteca de São Paulo; Itaú Collection, São Paulo; MAR – Museu de Arte do Rio, Rio de Janeiro; Museu de Arte Moderna da Bahia, Salvador; and Museu Oscar Niemeyer, Curitiba. Thalita Hamaoui integra “A Cor”, no Museu Inimá de Paula, em Belo Horizonte. Com curadoria de Romero Pimenta, a exposição parte da ausência cromática para construir um percurso em que a cor surge gradualmente: primeiro contida e silenciosa, depois vibrante, luminosa e expansiva.
