I honestly wasn’t sure if I wanted to share this kind of stuff here.
But I think I want this profile to feel a bit more like me — and traveling and surfing are a huge part of what genuinely fulfills me outside of designing and printing things.
The only problem is… I’m also very committed to keeping new designs coming and not disappearing for weeks every time I travel.
So I packed my 3D printer into a flight case and brought it with me. 😅
I had absolutely no idea how this was going to go.
After the first flight came customs questions about why someone is traveling internationally with a whole printer. But honestly, everyone was really kind, and the immigration officer actually seemed super interested in 3D printing too.
Then there was another flight on a tiny plane with really limited storage space… and seeing the printer being loaded onto that one definitely made me nervous and calm at the same time.
Somehow, everything survived the journey.
Now I’m finally here, settling in, surfing a little, and back to work 🌴
