T.NUA Craftsmanship Program 2025/2026
The project explores autochthonous fibers and botanical research alongside regenerative textile practices in Italy and Nepal. It investigates weaving, knotting and knitting techniques developed within the micro-level properties of fabrics, bridging traditional craftsmanship with innovative material studies and textile experimentation.
The resulting capsule collection, set to be exhibited in spring 2026, is the culmination of onsite research conducted in both countries by Mauro Simionato. The project involves as well collaborations with local Italian and Nepali artisans, and a research study in partnership with Università Iuav di Venezia, Master in Fashion, Pathway in Fashion Ecologies and Kathmandu University, School of Arts, Department of Art and Design.
(The T.NUA Craftsmanship program are residencies dedicated to preserving traditional craftsmanship through dialogue between contemporary creatives and ancient craft knowledge).

In the last months I developed with @consinee_group a method for regenerating cashmere leftover fibers into new yarns♻️ it’s a matter of technology, craft and styling, and it is POSSIBLE
This regenerative production process is conceived to be industrial, scalable, and it can transform premium quality wastage into new luxury products.

Vitelli X Consinee “The New Regeneration” project was hosted at @pittiuomo_official where we had the opportunity to show the development of @vitelli_official as a platform for regenerative design, and I am more and more proud of such achievements as we’re challenging the responsible fashion industry to new levels 💚

There’s only me in this prize picture but I’m representing the whole gang and happy to say @vitelli_official is the recipient of 2022 Camera Moda Fashion Trust grant 🪐with the following official motivation line: “An absolutely unique approach starting from the definition of the brand that focuses on the idea of ‘collective creativity’ which means involving the atelier staff in the creative process. Sustainability, circularity and the importance of craftsmanship in regenerating raw materials, bringing them back to life were appreciated. Vitelli uses his community of friends and artisans to send a strong message of inclusiveness, underlining the importance of the group in creating unique and creative collections.
