We are so excited to reveal the official poster for TAHI, starring our two protagonists Jack Murillo and Carlos Indalecio Moreno Matus. The main title design is the work of @enriquevw29 , who took inspiration in the early 1900s signage and handcrafted the typography.
The still was a photo taken on film during the shoot and was chosen in order to reflect the magical realism at the heart of the film, the light from the hidden flame as well as our protagonists’ transition through the Aniams in their journey into the desert.

We are honored to be part of a festival that highlights the border and cross cultural dynamics between the US and Mexico. Las palabras que vienen a mí en este momento para despedir a mi padre, Miguel Manríquez Durán, son abundantes pero él ya lo ha dicho todo. Su vida siempre estuvo trazada con letras, poesía y una búsqueda de ese soplo divino encerrado en las almas y en los corazones de los seres humanos. Con cariño recuerdo su legado:
Existir es una pasión divina.
La vida se vive con pasión y hacerlo es tocar ese aspecto divino que nos habita y encarna. Tengo la fortuna de conocer a mi padre en muchas de sus encarnaciones y facetas terrestres, y reconozco que dejó plasmado en el tiempo sus pasiones, inquietudes, placeres, dolores y contemplaciones. En ellas, en el sol y en el mar encuentro el refugio eterno de una vida vivida con la pasión sabia de un bárbaro, la sensibilidad divina de un poeta y la maestría de un artesano de las letras.
El mar, siempre el mar.
Gracias a todos por compartir las palabras y los poemas de mi padre en este breve instante en el que caminamos juntos. Las huellas en el lodo —barro terrenal desplazado en el tiempo— se dirigen hacia un horizonte deslumbrante, el camino a Nod.

Todos digan que morí con el alma pura,
que mujer ninguna despidió mi cuerpo,
que fue en otro tiempo y otras tierras
donde tomé ciudades marchitas
y pronuncié olvidadas palabras de amor.
