I couldn't feel more lucky and privileged to get to call this amazing gang of humans around me both my bandmates and friends.
I started Siiga many moons ago alone, recording in a cupboard on the Isle of Skye with no real ambition other than to try and make something real, from the heart....
So to see this little idea now bloom into a full band of the most talented, funniest and dedicated group of musicians that I could wish to stand in a room and play an instrument with has been a gift of joy in this life that I never expected.
People have told me that 'real bands' in the old sense of the word are slowly dying out but this band of instrument playing humans are very much alive and kicking, with a beating heart and a drive to push and stretch ourselves to make things that will hopefully last. 💓
We have just finished recording (and filming) something special that we hope you will love coming up over that horizon. ✨
We would absolutely love it if you came and joined us at @drygateglasgow on June 14th to hear us play and finally celebrate launching this album of 'Nostalgia Burns' out into the universe. 💫
