Gerilya Artist Residency Program (GARP) is back!
We are welcoming Sidney Islam @mental_calm as our first artist in residence at Irfan Hendrian's studio @hendrianirfan .
The program will be held from Nov, 1st 2021 – Jan, 31st 2022.
This year it comes with a new format in collaboration with Irfan Hendrian’s Studio. The program is designated to hone creative practices from an artist that has interests in industrial printing, bookbinding, and paper-based or wood-based artwork. Sidney will received workshops and explore the studio’s printing and binding facilities.
Gerilya Artist Residency Program (GARP) was initiated in 2015 by Ruang Gerilya as a way to collaborate with international artists and art practitioners. During three years of its operation, it has managed to run 9 residency projects involving 11 artists from 6 countries respectively Japan, South Korea, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
