Another spin around the sun. This year was a biggie, I was deeply moved and stretched and challenged in all sorts of ways. I moved to London, spent six weeks in New York, saw and made fantastic artistic work, danced more different choreographers’ movement than ever, met friends from around the world, joined the international civil service to work on climate issues, and took a true vacation to marvel at the wonders of nature. I also spent four months combined down and out from a concussion and a surgery and had to rely on my support networks in whole new ways, and am ever deeply heartbroken by continued injustice globally, (I would recommend Ava Duverney’s Origin, one of my favs of the year to have some catharsis around this). Thank you to my people, old and new. Thank you to the mountains and ocean for being my home. Thank you to the people who smile and let me go first on the tube at my stupid little breakneck run getting from job to job.
