All ticket proceeds from SideStep the Mainstream will be donated to House of Ensemble, supporting their non-profit initiatives like FRMULA and The Neighbourhood. These programs are focused on giving youth and emerging artists real opportunities to grow by providing access to studio time, mentorship, creative resources, and safe community spaces. They play a huge role in uplifting Ottawa’s local scene by helping people develop their skills, find their voice, and connect with others in the industry. By coming to this event, you’re not just supporting the local artists performing, but you’re directly contributing to programs that invest back into the community and create more accessible pathways for creatives. This is all about building something bigger than just one night and helping the scene continue to grow. We cant wait to see you there👀

Thank you to everyone that stopped by our bake sale last Thursday to support and learn more about SideStep and our upcoming event on April 18th at FONO613. We made $172 at the bakesale and the leftover bakery items were purchased for $158 by one of our sponsors, Sperotto Metal Repairs that were given to employees working at the Tomlinson Rideau Quarry & Plant. Thank you to the students and faculty that shared with us what they’re currently listening to and what they know about the local hiphop music scene in Ottawa! We love to know how our community is engaging with local artists in Ottawa and to continue the conversation while celebrating local talent. Thank you @give.danceachance for providing the amazing raffle basket! Tickets for the raffle basket will also be available at our event on the 18th. Finally, thank you @redbullcanada for providing us product that we were able to share with the student community. Stay tuned for more information on how to purchase tickets for our upcoming event.
