Also, just over 2 DAYS LEFT TO SUBMIT YOUR PASSION PROJECTS for this one. The projects don't have to be polished and complete, just get the submission in asap!

Submissions for Sidedoor Social are open until April 30th. All it takes is a quick form to fill out — everything’s in the link in our bio.
We’ve got limited space, and decisions will be made after the deadline. If you don’t get in this time, don’t worry — the event runs every two months and your application will still count for future shows.

Sidedoor Social is a relaxed show and tell for creative projects, a space to share passion projects, unfinished ideas, and work that doesn’t quite fit anywhere else. No pressure, no polish needed, just people showing what they care about.
You can exhibit work on the walls of the People's Hall, or apply for a short slot to talk, perform, or share your process.
All creative disciplines encouraged, the weirder the better!
With less than a month to go and submissions closing on April 30th, now is the time to get your work in.

Thank you all for such an incredible first Sidedoor Social.
March 11th went beyond anything we expected: so many amazing artists, great performances, and over 150 people coming through the space. It was so special seeing The People’s Hall full of creatives, conversation, and people really engaging with the work.
This is exactly what we hoped it could be.
So of course… we’re doing it again.

Tickets are moving fast too. We’ve sold over half already, with most going in the last few days alone. There will be a small handful on the door, but it won’t be enough to guarantee entry. If you want to be sure you’re in the room, grab a FREE ticket now.

When Sidedoor Social wraps up at 10pm on 11 March, we’re heading just down the road from The People’s Hall to Jam Cafe to keep the night going.
Jam Cafe will be staying open an extra hour especially for us, so expect a dance, good beers, good wine and a proper celebration of the first Sidedoor Social.
Join us for a brilliant night of art, conversation and community at People’s Hall, then come raise a glass at Jam Cafe.

If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign. We’re looking for work in progress, passion projects, experiments, things you’re making just because you want to. Painting, music, textiles, film, performance, design, writing, strange hybrid things that don’t fit in a box. It’s open and we genuinely mean that.
It’s a relaxed space to share what you’re building and meet other creatives in Nottingham who care about making things.

@f.f.w.i.h shows us how he takes cheap cassette tapes and turns them into collaborative mixtapes, passing them from person to person with each friend adding their own layer. It’s playful, low pressure and built on experimentation. That sense of openness and shared making is exactly what Sidedoor Social is about.
Submissions close on 4 March and we’re looking for a few more passion projects to round out the night.
We’ve already had an incredible range come in, from textiles and painting to experimental music, audio and product design.
