Over the past 7 years, I've been creating a horror film in secrecy entitled "PIZZA PARTY MASSACRE." Despite the many setbacks and delays the production has faced, the film will soon see the light of day. I am eternally grateful for all of the cast and crew who stuck it out til the end 🫡 I love you all. GODZILLA vs DESTOROYAH First time using gouache in over ten years. Fun practice, but acrylics still reign supreme for me. Gouache is a cool hybrid for watercolor, acrylic and oil techniques, but gets really muddy when you overwork it (although, the set I used was extremely cheap, so maybe it was just shit quality). I've recently gotten back into the habit of sketching every day, and it has allowed me to explore different styles/mediums I don't normally go for. This is a mixed media piece done in watercolor and colored pencil, rather than my usual acrylic paint and airbrush. I also just got in a bunch of new reference books by Tohl Narita and Keita Amemiya character designs, so I'm hoping to do more character focused designs like this in the near future. Just wrapped up the first mini-tour of my film "PIZZA PARTY MASSACRE." I'm an absolute homebody who just wants to sit in a cave and draw, but I am grateful to have a reason to venture out of my comfort zone and share my art with everyone. I got to meet some incredible people and buy a bunch of godzilla toys too.Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the film. It meant the world to me and the cast. I am going to spend the remainder of the year working on art, getting a physical release of the film ready to roll-out for next year, and releasing new episodes @luthersmidfrightsnack on our YouTube channel (FINALLY) Some special highlights/shoutouts I wanted to add from the tour: ●@comawhitenyc and @rockbarnyc was one of our favorite screenings. Happy 3 year anniversary to the coolest gig I ever worked on! Thanks again @tombstone_shadow and @devilisyourmaster for letting me be a part of that night 🫡 Seeing these photos pop up made me realize how overworked I was that August. That month alone, I shot two full music videos, painted two entire album covers, and made the props for the Devil Master show at the Wells Fargo Center. You can't tell, but I'm absolutely spent in that photo. It was well worth the experience though 🙌
