It’s been a month since we closed Hamlet, and we just locked our Henry 6 cast, so we wanted to count down to that announcement with a bit of Hamlet reflection!
We wanted to start with appreciation for our Horatio: @sibonelo____ !
Horatio holds so much heart in this play, and Sibo was the heart of this team. He was always so positive, so enthusiastic, so ready to learn and grow and share.
Horatio’s a tough character to give agency to, but Sibo navigated that relationship with Hamlet and the audience so beautifully, turning on us all at the end with the most heartbreaking release from 2 hours of restrained emotion.
His ending of this play will haunt me (in the best way) forever.
Make sure you’re keeping an eye on his career because it’s going to be a beautiful one.

“2 nights together had these gentlemen…” opened our first show for Hamlet with @wsshakes . If you are in Austin, Tx you should come check it out Jan 9-12, 14 and 21 @sterlingstageaustin 7:30pm! (The 14 and 21 are Tuesdays). it is an immersive show with the whole show happening around you as you sit in the bar area, it’s a lot of fun. I learned a little bit about Shakespeare and had a blast working with everyone. Tickets are $10 and the link for tickets is in my bio, come and check it out!
There’s also some merch you can buy on the Walking Shadow website and the 9th slide is 1 tarot card design that @codyarnatx designed for the show, these are pretty sick🔥

What’s up guys, a little while ago I got the chance to work on this short film that was directed by @shirathecolorist . Whole project was shot on 16mm film and very interesting story because I got to play a South African character “Adrian Moroka” whose is based on the real experiences of @tawandamulalu . We got to shoot on a ranch in Driftwood, Tx and it was crazy beautiful there were all types of animals there. It was a joy working with everyone, I cannot wait to see it!

Today we are excited to @sibonelo____ , our Horatio! We fell in love with Sibonelo at CityWide auditions this spring, hosted by @atxtheatre . He did a Puck monologue that seared in our memories with the sheer joy he brought to the stage. We were so excited when he was interested in this show, and have absolutely loved getting to work with him. He has an unmatchable enthusiasm and presence that sucks you in, bringing such a beautiful arc to Horatio.

What’s up guys, we opened Passover @groundfloortheatre this past weekend. We interviewed with @studio512TV last Friday and spoke about the play. Come check it out this Thursday-Saturday @7 :30pm and Sunday 5pm. Next weekend August 30 + 31 l on Friday and Saturday @7 :30pm.
A lot of really amazing people worked really hard on this and received some amazing reviews. First show I’ve did in my life that isn’t for school, so I’m excited if you couldn’t tell. It’s political theatre that’s also funny. If you have the time, definitely come and watch!!!

I got the chance to be a guest actor at Concordia University. Productions were student-led and we performed “A Type of Alaska”. Was fun working with everyone, fun time, can’t wait to do it again.
