@theraleigh ’s storied past is as iconic as its future is ambitious.
Originally opened in 1940, The Raleigh Hotel was designed by famed Art Deco architect Lawrence Murray Dixon and quickly became one of Miami Beach’s most glamorous destinations. Its signature fleur-de-lis-shaped pool, often called “the most beautiful pool in America,” became a symbol of mid-century Miami luxury, attracting celebrities, artists, and jet-setters for decades.
The hotel was a frequent haunt for Hollywood stars like Esther Williams—who famously swam in the pool—as well as fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld, who once hosted a Chanel runway show there.
Through the decades, The Raleigh remained a cultural and architectural landmark, admired for its preserved Art Deco façade, grand interiors, and timeless elegance. Despite changes in ownership and periods of closure—most notably following damage from Hurricane Irma in 2017—the property retained its legendary status.
Today,
@shvo ’s redevelopment honors that legacy by restoring its historic elements and seamlessly integrating them into a modern ultra-luxury destination.
Set for completion in 2027, the three-acre beachfront estate will feature 40 private residences, a 60-room Rosewood hotel, a beach club by acclaimed Milan-based
@langosteria , and a suite of ultra-luxury amenities including multiple pools, ocean-view fitness spaces, and priority access to world-class dining.
