@stoneisland for hosting this one. i got to meet everyone involved with the album and left so inspired. most importantly though, i experienced a full circle moment in formally meeting the man who heavily inspired me to pursue a creative career, earl sweatshirtttt.
almost a decade ago i was in one of the worst depressive episodes of my life. i stumbled across a song called “solace” by earl. that song, till this day, to me is a perfect example of how powerful it is to encapsulate all of your pain, your grief, and turn that pain into something tangible. that song truly saved me. this made me want to be able to create art that could bring people solace in their lives. 2020 i started this page, and the rest is history.
