Meet Our Setters!
We’re super excited to have this talented crew shaping the routes for the 2025 NSW State Open Lead and Para Climbing Titles. They’re bringing creativity, challenge, and plenty of good vibes to the walls. @sydneyindoorclimbinggym
First up, meet Jono Lim. @shortlims

Years Setting: 7
Setting Discipline: Lead & Boulder
Jono sees setting as a way to take climbers on a journey—mixing slow, precise moves with pumpy sections to create great flow. Early feedback helped him focus on rhythm and avoid routes that feel like “boulders stacked on top of each other.”
Mostly a social comp climber, Jono loves the fun and community vibe that comes with these events. He enjoys creating routes that are challenging, fun, and reward solid technique and good route-reading.
He’s also been a key setter for many Para Climbing workshops across NSW and Australia. Jono finds Para setting both challenging and rewarding, and believes growing opportunities for both setters and competitors is a huge win for the sport.
Fun fact: Jono drinks his coffee black — no exceptions.

Been a minute.
Not a whole lot of psyche for climbing lately due to a multitude of reasons, but had the opportunity to just have a play on some fun boulders today which was incredibly refreshing and definitely a step in the right direction ⬆️

‘Rocklands 2024’ 🇿🇦☀️🧗🏻
Had such an amazing trip to the mecca of bouldering, I really couldn’t have asked for a better first experience of the land of rocks.
2 weeks went in the blink of an eye as the days were filled with tons of psyche, great laughs and fond memories.
