There’s something pretty special about walking out back with a camera and letting the forest decide what the day is going to be. Some mornings it’s woodpeckers working the trees like tiny percussionists. Some days it’s a blue jay dropping in with that perfect flash of colour. And every now and then, nature’s soundtrack gets interrupted by a slightly more industrial kind of bird passing overhead. Either way, it all comes back to the same thing: looking, listening, slowing down, and practicing the art of actually noticing what’s around you. Photography has a funny way of turning a regular walk into a lesson. Every branch, every sound, every quick movement in the corner of your eye becomes a chance to get a little sharper, a little quieter, and hopefully a little better. Grateful for these little moments, the birds that tolerate me, and the time I get to spend chasing them with a camera. #shooteverything

A couple weeks into the season and @muskokahighlands is starting to feel alive again. ā›³ļøšŸŒæ The grass is green, new buds and blooms are popping up around the course, and those familiar faces are back lining up shots, chasing birdies, and enjoying the game we all missed through the winter. There is something pretty special about this place when spring starts to settle in. Good friends, fresh air, quiet fairways, and an amazing staff who always make the course feel welcoming from the moment you arrive. We love seeing everyone back out here, making memories and enjoying the game we all love. #MuskokaHighlands #MuskokaGolf #BracebridgeOntario #GolfSeason #SpringGolf GolfOntario muskokalife shooteverything

After a long winter, there are few better feelings than getting back out on the course. ā›³ļøā˜€ļø These were taken Monday morning at @muskokahighlands in Bracebridge, just after the course reopened for the season, and honestly, it felt so good to be back. We’ve been members here going on five years now, and this place has become so much more than just somewhere we golf. It’s a community, it’s familiar faces, it’s great staff, it’s post-round laughs, and it really does have that family feeling every time you pull into the lot. Muskoka Highlands is known as one of Muskoka’s most playable and affordable courses, with fast greens, a full driving range, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, but the best part for me has always been that it’s dog friendly. I’ve basically raised my little Mac dog here, and he loves being out there just as much as I do. There aren’t many places where you can play a round, bring your camera, bring your dog, and feel completely at home. Here’s to another season of early mornings, missed putts, good walks, better company, and Mac living his best golf-course life. So happy to be back. šŸ¾ā›³ļø šŸ“ @muskokahighlands | Bracebridge, Ontario #MuskokaHighlands #MuskokaGolf #BracebridgeOntario #GolfSeason #DogFriendlyGolf MuskokaLife GolfOntario ShootEverything

Rainy days still count as adventure days. Got out exploring with Macaroni and let the trail do its thing. Wet bridges, rushing water, muddy paws, and all the little forest details that only seem to show up after the rain. Always nice to have my best buddy leading the way. #shooteverything

Last little while I’ve been noticing spring slowly starting to show itself out in the forest behind the house. It was a pretty quiet winter back there, but each day there are a few more signs of life popping up and it feels good to see the season starting to shift. I’ve always loved birds, and anytime I get the chance to photograph them I’m taking it. So far it’s just been a few woodpeckers and this little chickadee stopping by to say hello, but I know there’ll be plenty more showing up as the weeks go on. Not sure if they keep their distance because of the dog, but either way, having this right in the backyard is something I definitely don’t take for granted. It’s been nice to step out there, slow down for a bit, and just enjoy photography again. Also feeling really good getting back to exploring more areas around Muskoka. #shooteverything

Last weekend I was out with Macaroni and @thejordanangel and we found this awesome waterfall so close to home. It took some work getting through the bushes and making our way up the creek without getting completely soaked, but that’s part of the fun. A little scrambling, wet feet, and a spot like this waiting at the end of it all made it more than worth it. Always a good feeling finding places like this tucked away so close by. #shooteverything

I wandered into the forest behind my place with my pup today, feeling that pull to go find a frame, and sure enough this little scene was there doing its thing. After being without a camera for a couple of months, it felt so good to be back out shooting again. I picked up a new camera and computer this week, and honestly I’ve been itching for this moment. Getting back to what I love, being out in the forest, chasing little pockets of beauty like this, feels like a pretty good sign of what’s ahead. Feeling inspired, feeling grounded, and in a really good head space lately. More to come. #shooteverything

King of the Dot @kotdtv has meant a lot to me for a long time. I was lucky enough to be around during what many would now call the early days of KOTD, camera in hand, not fully realizing I was documenting a piece of history as it was happening. Photography has always been my passion. What I love most about covering battle rap is the challenge of telling such a powerful audible experience through still images, capturing those split-second reactions, pivotal moments, and energy that the crowd feels instantly and remembers long after the battle is over. Through this platform, I’ve had the chance to witness incredible talent, connect with so many amazing artists, and document moments that now carry even more meaning. Some of the people I had the honour of knowing through this community are no longer with us, but their presence still lives on through the images and videos and the culture that keep those memories alive. If you ever see me at one of these events, just know I’m there because I genuinely love this culture and have loved watching this community grow over the years. Any support, shares, likes, follows, or help right now truly means a lot. Big up to @itskirsh for making sure I got up and out to this one. A little set from a walk late last fall, just before winter. One of my favourite places, my best friend Macaroni by my side, and a camera in hand. Photography has always been one of the ways I process life and slow things down enough to really see what’s around me. Fresh air, quiet trails, and a reminder that there is always something beautiful waiting to be noticed.

Still have a few winter frames to share before we make the full shift into spring. Took this in Huntsville while leaving a friend’s place and the sunset and moon caught my eye right away. Had to pull over and grab it. #huntsville #muskokaphotographer #muskoka #shooteverything

Five years ago, we found each other somewhere in the middle of healing. He came with a past I’ll never fully know, shaped by things that made him cautious, observant, and deeply feeling. Even now, he’s still unsure of some people and moments—but when he trusts, he trusts completely. And somehow, through it all, he chose me. His eyes say everything. Always watching, always thinking, always checking in. They carry his softness, his strength, and the quiet bravery it takes to keep showing up after life hasn’t been gentle. I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow, learn, and slowly lay pieces of his guard down, one experience at a time. We’ve walked through a lot together. New trails, old fears, calm days, hard ones. And I’m endlessly grateful for every step. Lately I wonder if he gets lonely sometimes—if he might like a little brother to raise and show the ropes to. But I think he knows, just like I do, that we’re surrounded by good people… and that we’re never really alone. Grateful for this soul.

Winter has wrapped Muskoka in this unreal quiet—snow on every branch, the whole world slowed down. I stepped onto my front stoop last week and the moon was just there, glowing through the trees like a little reminder to breathe it all in. Life feels pretty incredible when you pause long enough to notice the small, beautiful moments. This was one of them.
