Had the honor of going rounds with the crewmate and homie @comicc_k in an exhibition match put on by @cyphervision206 . This event was a collaboration between them and my crew @rhythmsystemcrew at @thebeaconmm . Was a ton of fun and even though it was an exhibition I had to give it my all cause Comic is a beast at battling. Thanks to @najthemirage and @soundmovesdance for collaborating with us.

I think one of the coolest things about DANCE is being able to dance anywhere. Also not knowing who is a dancer who is not a dancer for example meet @aroyaltyunlimited206 who was a bicyclist. Shock and I came up to him and asked if we could dance to his music. He said hold my bicycle to his wife and got off and got down!!!! It was such a cool experience. #oldskool #poppingdance
MY popping prelim at @_funktionandform in Huston. I sometimes hesitate posting prelim rounds because I tend to be pretty critical of myself and see what I need to work on. Although the same thoughts crossed my mind here I'm posting it because I'm proud that I tried my best in this room of high level dancers. I felt like I did pretty good even if there's still plenty to work on. I know I'm heading in the right direction which is encouragement to keep trying. I also got to cypher a lot with some really great folks so that was definitely the highlight of the experience for me.
(Also didn't hear the countdown over the music lol)

Gratitude post incoming....
Spent the weekend in Huston for the first time to attend @_funktionandform an event put together by @edv_phunk and his team. It was a wonderful experience. Got to meet many new people as well as reconnect with folks I hadn't seen in a while.
Shout out to Erin for not just putting on an event but making the whole weekend an experience. 4 hours of workshops, preparty, event, after party, and then brunch and day party. Really made the focus to feel more community centric and not just about the battle. I have not danced that much over the course of 3 days in a long time if ever lol. Also shout out to their community. Very friendly welcoming community and very high level. Both the locals and those visiting were at a level that was inspiring to watch. The event day venue was one of the best locations I've ever been to for an event. Overall one of the best event experiences I've ever had. Thank you for the invite and hospitality.
Wish I got more pictures with more people but I also want to thank @katana_pop for your workshop and judging (was my first tutting workshop) @robozillaa and @precise__ for judging, your workshops, and both of your advice. I came out of this weekend both humbled and inspired. I see how long the road is but I'm also motivated to keep trying to cross it. Also shout out to @king.koi.roi for hanging out with us and giving us a ride most of the time.

35. Kinda crazy to think about. Lots of ups and downs over the years but I'm grateful for the life I have. I left dance in 2020 with no plans to come back. My self doubt and mental health became very bad when it came to dance. No matter how hard I tried I could no longer enjoy dance. At the end of 2023 I started to miss it. I realized that if my urge to return to dance is so strong then it must be because that's how important it is to me. That became a driving force that helped me comeback with a renewed mindset in early 2024. Since coming back it's been an amazing experience. I formed a crew with some dope people @rhythmsystemcrew . Started hosting weekly hip-hop and popping sessions. I won my first ever 1v1 battle in 2024 and got to win another event in 2025. I got to experience dope events in LA, AZ, Portland and Vancouver BC. Got to see the dope efforts put into growing our own scene by @mastachimp@hiphopotamus_@dkim__ and more recently @comicc_k . But honestly all of that is barely a fraction of what has truly been the biggest and best part of coming back and that's the community. I've been fortunate to reconnect with some of the folks I knew before I stepped away. But the sheer number of new people I've met has been staggering. So many of you and all of you have been such amazing people and dancers. It's a community I'm proud to be a part of and to call my friends. So to any of you who read this long message. Thank you for being who you are and keeping consistent in the community.
Yesterday I got to celebrate with this amazing community and it made my heart full to see so many people come out. So thank you so much to those of you that did. This video is of my last round to end the session last night.
