12 years ago…I WAS OUTSIDE & HUNGRY 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 YOU HEAR ME 😂 you can’t say I didn’t work for this‼️ This was 3 projects in with an eviction notice on my door. I had a job that didn’t pay me to work summers or holidays. I would spend 12 hours a day downtown Manhattan selling cds while rapping and convincing people to follow me on Instagram. (Yes I earned my followers) Eating 2 Bros dollar pizza….Walking from Harlem to Times Square and back when I couldn’t afford the train most days. Just trying to save money I used to beg other artists to come outside with me but they refused. Some folks use to try to discourage me or distract me by saying I was working too hardI, or tell me to give up altogether 🤦🏾‍♀️ I was socially awkward young woman that had to step outside my comfort zone to make things shake. There was no room for fear. Only awareness & determination !!! By doing the work I got radio interviews, show opportunities, donations, networking opportunities, free concert tickets, backstage passes and more from being outside. S/o to all the black men that worked those streets (selling comedy tickets, tshirts etc) that protected me no matter how early or late it was🙏🏾 I was never truly alone ‼️ There are some people who still remember me to this day from Times Square 🫂 MY DAY ONES🥹 THANK YOU @nec0ledash @necoledash FOR POSTING THIS REMINDER TODAY THAT THE YOUNGER VERSION OF ME SAW NO OBSTACLES !!!
