365 days ago, with a cup of coffee in hand, I worked with an incredible team of people to document the Biden-Harris Inauguration. The photographers captured moments that I toned for large format prints, which were hung in the White House before President Biden, VP Harris and staff arrived in the West Wing. It was an absolutely invigorating way to start 2021 and filled me with hope for the future. šŗšø š„Ā
Sharing this lovely photo by my dear friend Chuck Kennedy that captures my 2021 Inauguration day mood.Ā

With 11 days to go I've only just begun to reflect on my time at the White House. In 12 days I will no longer walk beyond the gates every day, mingle through the rooms of the White House, or interact with some of the people that help bring about change in our great country. I've been so fortunate for these last 3.5 years, to have my life full of many unreal and magical experiences, which have only been highlighted by the incredible people I've met along the way. In 3 days I will shake the hand of @barackobama and have the ability to thank him for the honor of working for him and our great country (let's see if I can actually talk, most likely I'll just grin haha). In 12 days, I'll officially be unemployed....guess we will see where that takes me. And in 23 days I will be on the way to New Orleans, the first stop in my cross country road trip with Marshall (recommendations welcomed). I'm downright fearful of what 2017 has in store for me but am ready for one hell of a ride. Cheers to #obama, #2017, #life, #love and #my2017roadtrip š photocred: @lowjack68
Plain and simple, Iām madly head over heels in love with you. ā ā

Yesterday should have been our wedding day, where we married each other with the people we love most. Unfortunately, the world had different plans for us and as always, we made the most of what life threw our way.ā ā
ā ā
Eloping with you in Max Patch was a dream. š Iām so excited to do this again in 2021 surrounded by our families and friends but until then, Iāll take this absolutely perfect memory and enjoy being your wife. ā ā

I love you @marsh_madn3ss with every ounce of my being. ā ā

P.s. - @anastasiiaphotography slayed these photos. Thanks for making us feel so Hollywood. š„°ā ā

P.s.s. - @treyrigdon was a master officiant at our wedding. Iāve never seen Marshall laugh so hard. It was the perfect mix of sappy, humor and contemporary poetry (i.e. rap). š Thanks for being a part of a our day. It means the world to us. ā
The last trip of 2025, brought to you sometime after the first trip of 2026. Thanks to @claudinegossett for catching me in my behind-the-scenes rhythm (slide 6) ā settling in wherever the day requires.
Happy 36th to my favorite handyman and partner in (home) crime, @marsh_madn3ss š ļøš
Just before your 35th birthday, we got the keys to our first homeāa milestone we dreamed about for a long time. What we didnāt anticipate was how much of an adventure the first year would be...
Hurricane Helene, a flooded basement, a surprise living room āwaterfall,ā a rogue jetted tub, electrical quirks, rotted windows, chipmunks (yes, plural)... and somehow, you tackled every curveball with patience, grit, and even a few laughs.
This past year has been chaotic, humbling, and unforgettableāand I genuinely couldnāt imagine riding out this storm with anyone else.
Cheers to you and 36. May it bring fewer home emergencies⦠and just a few more projects (like reseeding the lawn and painting the house the color of my choosingš).
2023. Despite a rough start, @marsh_madn3ss and I made many special memories with our family and friends. We traveled, continued to enjoy the local breweries, adopted a kitten, and unsuccessfully shopped for our first home. I worked a ton, read 93 books, started acupuncture, and aimed to make my health a priority. It was an unexpected year but one filled with tons of love and laughterā¦.and maybe some tears over those homes that didnāt work out. Looking forward to the memories we are set to make in 2024 - more travel and blink-182, here we come. š„
Looked out the window and saw the rainbow and clouds, grabbed a camera from under the desk and walked down to Route 66 to make some photos, only to discover there wasnāt a card in the camera. š¤¦š¼āāļø Made this on my phone and @shelbyleeman toned it up real pretty for me. Doesnāt make me feel any better about missing the shot but at least I made something?

Marshall - it seems that in recent years, I only enjoy posting to my Instagram when I get to write about you. So I might as well keep the trend going.
Three years ago yesterday, we ran off to a mountain top in Asheville to say I Do. In 2022, we were finally able to celebrate our love with our friends and family in a wedding that was uniquely our own. After 3 years of marriage and 11 years together, I find myself blissfully in love with you. Whether we are recreating the cucumber margaritas from our wedding at home, hyperventilating during a hike in Colorado we arenāt prepared for, watching the latest season of survivor with the Nug, or running a restaurant together in Plate Upā¦.you are my absolute favorite person to do anything with.
There are many things I wish I could do over in my lifeā¦chasing you all those years ago so youād give me the time of day isnāt one of them. Thanks for finally wisening up in 2012 and realizing ādamn. Shelby is pretty sweet. What am I thinking, making her work so hard to get me?!ā I love you more than words could ever say. I promise to spend my life head over heels in love with youā¦while giving you the opportunity to make up for those two years of lost time. š¤£š„°ā¤ļø
Thanks @anastasiiaphotography for our beautiful wedding photos as well as @dccl for a few special captures. š
Happy International Womenās Day! When I started my business in 2017, I had no idea what to expect other than I would pursue all aspects in my career that I love. Six years later, Iāve had the pleasure of working with an ever growing list of talented photographers (the majority of them women) and developed some of my most cherished friendships along the way. So I am raising a glassšŗ to all the women out there, especially those running their own businesses. #whoruntheworld #womensupportingwomen #womensday2023 #womeninbusiness
