Join us this June for Take Flight, a stunning aerial theatre show for 0-2 year olds and their grown ups.
The story follows a musical mother bird as their baby hatches and explores, navigating the challenges of hunger, sleep and play. Culminating in a beautiful aerial moment, the mother bird supports her baby to leave the nest & take flight.
This multi-sensory, interactive show ignites the imagination and curiosity of the babies who join the fun in a stay and play session.

Award-winning Daniel Bailey, formerly associate artistic director at London’s Bush Theatre, joins the Roots Mbili Theatre team ahead of next February’s run.
Daniel has a wealth of experience in directing for stage and screen, including in London’s West End, America, and for Channel 4.
He is also a dramaturg, writer and winner of The Stage Debut Award for Best Creative West End Debut.
Daniel will bring our vision for Never Look Back, a historical fiction retelling the story of African soldiers who fought for Britain during World War Two, to life on stage.
