If so, four lucky winners will get to have their recipes scaled up by a professional brewery, and on sale at the festival itself 🤩
As well, a judging panel will be there on opening night to choose out of the four who will be the home brew champion of Sheffield.

It’s an extra special year as we celebrate our 50th anniversary— which means everything is set to be bigger and better than ever!

We are delighted to announce from all the charity donations, beermat sales and proceeds from the charity beer from this years’ festival, our total donation to Sheffield Children’s Hospital charity is £3500.

It’s a week today since we opened the 49th Steel City Beer and Cider Festival and we hope that you all enjoyed your time with us.
We would like to firstly thank all of our hardworking volunteers that took time out of their lives and jobs to make this all possible, you have been more than amazing and we could not have made it as special as it was without you all.
We would also like to thank our sponsors, our suppliers, our food vendors, our bands, Jon McClure for opening our event and all the pubs and breweries that made it absolutely outstanding.

Our donation containers were dropped off at Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity this afternoon, 5 buckets and 9 cans. We would like to thank you all for attending and for all your donations for such a worthy charity.
