Chapter Finished🌟💫
As we begin to close out the year, I just want to reflect on graduating from THEE Morgan State University with my Bachelor’s in Political Science and a minor in Film and Screenwriting.
It took me five years to complete this chapter of my life — filled with long ass hard working days + nights, many days of stress and struggle, but also countless laughs, smiles, and memories that’ll last a lifetime. I accomplished so much during my time, including shooting photography for Under Armour and being awarded a Silver Telly.
I was also selected as one of two inaugural fellows for the HBCU Next Program – Directors Track, where I attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts Summer Program free of cost. In addition, I was honored to be chosen as a Benjamin A. Quarles Research Fellow, completing a research paper on James Baldwin’s relationship to cinema. 🫶🏾
But I couldn’t have done it without the support of God, who saw me through it all and my tribe, a collective of truly beautiful and amazing people who have helped me become the woman I am today. I am beyond thankful to have been blessed with such an outstanding support system and hope that I can show up for y’all in the same ways y’all have always done for me.

So grateful to live and continue to experience the life I’ve been granted, praise to the most high always. I’ve been learning so much about life (as always) and more about myself.

Peace y’all! Tomorrow 01/16 at the BMA I’ll be in conversation with a group of amazing artists, researchers, and archivists to discuss our creative journeys with bringing the to light the life of Molia, an African woman and mother who was enslaved in Jamaica in the eighteenth-century.
I was honored to create a short film
titled “Molia’s Extension” which poses the thought of the importance of legacy and if Molia was granted the opportunity to carry on her legacy what would the extensions of her be in the physical form. As I created this film and went through constant changes my main hope was that I would be able to capture the energy of Molia along with the spirit of her daughter Silvia.
So thankful for Jessica and the whole @remainsarchive for allowing me to be apart of this amazing story and Dr.J for connecting us so much love always!! Also thankful for my fam that blessed me with being in the film and helping me bring this visual to fruition♥️🤲🏾💫
