In the heart of the Cotswolds rests a monumental copper-domed Mughal Indian palace: Sezincote House. It became our sanctuary, where designers from across the world gathered to create, to learn, and to be moved by the beauty of flowers.
Tables brimmed with radishes, cabbage, leeks, artichokes, and clusters of translucent currants, mingling with fresh fennel, dahlias, and garden roses at their peak.
Aged terracotta pots and weathered stoneware gave weight and grounding, as we were honored with compotes shared by
@Gaiavessels .
The workshop invited each of us to bring our own voice to the table. With flowers in hand, we shaped centerpieces that carried our distinct touch, textures, forms, and gestures that felt wholly ours… yet when gathered back together, they sang in a chorus; harmonious and complete.
As we wandered the estate, we discovered an ancient dairy, where a rare, forgotten fountain revealed herself. There, in that quiet place, she became the heart of our collective installation. An echo of time holding space for our shared creation.
The true wonder of the workshop was found in the color story that bound us. Individual artistry, born from different perspectives, wove together into something larger than any one of us.
In the installation you’ll see the interplay of the attendees’ centerpieces with our vessels, the blooms, and the shifting light. Jess and Jen, thank you for curating such a space of beauty and belonging.
