Ryan walked into our very first meeting a year before the wedding with a clear vision for the day - and she never once changed direction.

She wanted to honour the timeless beauty of Villa Cimbrone with something elegant, intimate and unforgettable. Old-world romance paired with a refined, modern simplicity, built around a soft tonal palette and layers of texture.

Texture became one of the defining details of the design. Soft gauze linens dressed the tables, linen-backed signage and menu covers added depth, and even the cocktail napkins mirrored the same fabric used across the bistro tables.

Ryan was deeply involved in every styling decision, from curating the pieces used during cocktail hour to envisioning a grazing table layered with travertine and soft linens. Her fashion choices reflected that same attention to detail, with vintage pieces that brought personality and elegance to the day.

And then the ceremony... 🕊️ Set within the Temple Gardens of Villa Cimbrone, a monumental floral arch framed the infinite view beyond. It created one of the most breathtaking ceremony settings we have ever seen on the Amalfi Coast.

As evening arrived, guests stepped into the Crypt where hundreds of candles flickered against the stone as dinner unfolded overlooking the Amalfi coastline.

Ryan & Griffin’s welcome dinner set the tone for the weekend in the best possible way.

Under a canopy of vines at Mimi’s, the tables came alive with deep burgundy tones, grapes spilling from stone bowls, figs sliced open across crisp linen and florals that cascaded like they had grown there themselves. It felt romantic, considered and beautifully unique.

Family-style dining was always going to be the centrepiece of the evening. Long tables filled quickly with laughter, passing plates and glasses of wine. Custom aprons appeared, surprise bibs were handed out to guests and before long the entire terrace was singing along as That’s Amore was performed live. Exactly the kind of joyful chaos a rehearsal dinner should have.

Every event across the weekend had its own personality. This evening was all about abundance, colour and bringing everyone together before the celebrations ahead. A welcome dinner should do more than gather guests. It should set the energy for the entire wedding weekend.
