God gave me this Word in the midst of my pain. Beginnings can often suck. Especially if you’re beginning again. But, if you’re moving in purpose, with purpose, and you stay consistent, you’ll reap what you sow.
Just remember, you’re gonna feel it, see it, hear it, taste it, before anyone else does! Because it starts inside of you. Therefore, you don’t need the external validation of others. If you’re putting in the effort and work of a vision, dream, or goal, you WILL reap the benefits if you don’t give up. Sound familiar?

CHRISTMAS | 2025
Every year is a blessing. This year that statement rings truer than ever. My family has been through a LOT! But one thing I LOVE is our resilience! My clan is THE BEST and I wouldn’t trade not ONE of them! They bring me so much joy, my gratitude can’t help but overflow!
In a world that feels so unrecognizably cold and inauthentic, I’m grateful for imperfection in its purest and rarest form. It’s the unfiltered beauty that lies in chaos, roadblocks, pivots, and change. Our family has risen and continues to rise from the ashes and I’m mighty proud of that. The wonderful thing about life is that it finds ways to reveal YOU to yourself through circumstances. And THAT is the real gold.
Every time I think I’m teaching these kids lessons, turns out, I’m learning along the way too. And not just TikTok dances. lol
Whether you were surrounded by family or if the holidays aren’t so joyous for you, I hope you accept the adventure of discovering YOU through whatever your circumstances may be. And know that the magic is actually IN you and NOT the circumstances.

SOME TIME LATER was a passion project from the jump and we were fortunate enough to work with the very talented and award winning director Shea Harris @sheabutterpro and filmed inside the beautiful cafe interior of @kafncoffeebar .
Shea's specific creative vision and care with the actors gave us the confidence to produce the project around her. Maybe the most important aspect to secure in the production was the space in which we filmed this one scene conversation piece.
Kafn Coffee Bar was not only flexible to our needs, but infinitely helpful when it came to using their space after hours. Their location rep even doubled as the barista in the establishing shots and coffee inserts for the film.
Please check out our amazing director Shea and if you're in the Adams Hill @adamshillglendale of Glendale, CA, we recommend stopping for a treat at Kafn Coffee Bar their drinks and staff are incredible and they regularly feature local independent artists in their decor.
Overnight shoots can be brutal, Shea's leadership and Kafn's willingness to let us use their business made it that much easier.

For the indie micro-budget short SOME TIME LATER, Executive Producer writer and actress @itsnotemery approached Solana Productions to make her screenplay on a self-funded budget.
To achieve this every producer on this film wore other important hats.
@erinhour doubled as Production Designer, @3rl3rl tripled up as casting director and Sound Designer/Mixer, @connorthomasla doubled as Production Manager, and @sheabutterpro was one of the earliest on the project and was our fearless director.
Independent film making isn't a science it's an art of collaboration and teamwork. We squeezed every bit of production value we could get onto the frame and we think it shows.
The numbers and stats of a film are only a part of the story, the work, effort, blood, sweat and tears to work as a collaborative team is the beating heart of passion projects like this.
Truthfully whoever produced this wouldn't have mattered if we didn't have the amazing crew that worked alongside us. While a few producers got us to set, this production was only possible through the dedication and talent of the crew.

On this day last year, God gave me a second chance. After an unexpected life-saving surgery, I laid in a hospital bed with gratitude on Pluto! This year challenged me physically, spiritually, and mentally, in ways I didn’t even know were possible. To say GOD IS GOOD just isn’t enough!
So, I decided to honor Him by showing how good He is! By doing this year, what I couldn’t do last year. By appreciating EVERYTHING He has shown me through this! And I’m not done because I know He’s not done!!! HE IS TRULY A GOD OF SECOND CHANCES!!!
Teagen’s Sunday Funday Adults Only Field Day was epic! We had a TIME!!! If you aren’t there January 25, 2026, you trippin! It was a good time with good people and good vibes! Let your inner child come out and play! I’m so glad I did!

IT’S | MY | BALDIEVERSARY
Whew! It’s been five years! Time flies! This has been one of the toughest yet most invigorating journeys I’ve ever embarked upon. I used to be ashamed to tell people I had Alopecia. I used to be mad at God because He allowed me develop Alopecia. And now, I just smile and marvel at how strategic God is when He works.
These days, I’m grateful for the pain of this Alopecia journey because in LOSING my hair, I’ve FOUND real self love, not the kind that just sounds good or gets lots of “likes”. I’ve FOUND compassion for others. I’ve FOUND what true beauty is AND where it’s cultivated. And it AIN’T in hair! Grateful for the beauty I see in the mirror that transcends the reflection. I no longer need validation from this society to see and know my beauty. For this alone, I’m grateful for Alopecia.
I still rock my wigs, and will, forever. I still miss having hair. I still have days when I just want to rock a pony or a middle part bust-down. But I now understand that those things merely added to my beauty and didn’t make up my beauty.
So whether you catch me outside bald, in a 30” wig, or hair flipping my invisible fresh pressed wrap…mind ya’ business! 👩🏾🦲👩🏾🦱👩🏾👩🏽🦰💅🏾

I used to be the kind of girl who jumped out of bed in a frenzy, talking to God as I frantically ran around the house to rush out of the door. And don’t get it twisted, I was still talking to my G and He was still listening! The priorities were there. But the intention wasn’t.
I’d been asking God to help me be more intentional in every area of my life, except with Him. Which is CRAZY, cause…well…He’s literally everything.
The thing is, when I started being intentional in spending time with God, the privileges of that intentionality started overflowing. I can’t explain it, but I looked up, and because I was intentional in my pursuit to spend time with God first, the lack of time I used to experience all of a sudden became an abundance of time. The rushing stopped and the peace took over.
Now don’t get it twisted, I’m not perfect, and I DO still have those days where I’m talking between gargles trying to get out the door. 👀 But they are rare and few now.
I just needed to reconfigure how I was pouring into and showing up for the One I’m ALWAYS asking to show up for me. Turns out, when we are intentional in prioritizing God, we discover God has always and will always make provision for us. ✨

8. Breathe. Life is a beautiful nightmare. You have to learn to appreciate all of it, learn from all of it, so you can embody all of it. That, is living. Anything else is you conforming to appease the flesh.
