I put a lot of thought & energy, as I do w/ all my work, into creating something original that I haven’t seen before, with ambitions to do multiple iterations of this piece on a larger scale. When a brand with infinitely more power, resources & exposure copies an emerging artist they waste an opportunity to collaborate rather than steal. I think this represents a larger issue at hand where instead of just directly hiring young talented artists to collaborate, brands are just ripping off our original ideas and sticking our work on their mood boards.
