@sewstine threw such a wonderful ball the other night in Chicago, and the @nyhistoricalcostumers came through with their finest frocks and finery for a fun night of champagne, absinthe, and dancing! Parsons MFA Fashion Design and Society Semester 1 Year 1 Collection complete!
This project I call the âStyle Nouveau,â a set inspired by the scandalous robe de style dresses of late 1920s/early 1930s French magazine covers (La Vie Parisienne). The materiality of these dresses included tens of yards of crystal organza and rayon velvet.

#tbt To this early Edwardian ballgown I designed and realized several months ago but didnât get around to making a post for.
Came across this mini photoshoot I did with @xochi.cordelia in my photos way back in April at a party. I created this of a duchess satin and chiffon. I drafted the bodice pattern myself and the skirt was created from an early 1900s pattern (I added a train to it).
The corset to give me this shape was created by @marietheresaandlumieres
