It is the greatest honour, and I’m shaking a little to announce this! 🥳 Brand new anime LOVE THROUGH A PRISM is out now on Netflix! Made by @yoko.kamio , one of the best-selling manga artists EVER - You will catch me throughout the series as the English voice for fun-loving, pub-crawling, dashing, charming, and totally modest red-head Joffrey O’Brien. I am so thrilled to have provided the English voice for this, my first featured role on TV, and in such a beautifully animated and brilliantly written character no less. Thank you so much @jesslouisee23 and @the_vsi_group for this wonderful opportunity. It has been an absolute delight, brilliant challenge, and career highlight to work on this, something I will never forget. I shed a couple of tears over this role, laughed A LOT, tore my hair out a little, and cannot wait for people to hear what we have made. @didyouseadet you are absolutely amazing, SO skilled, and make me smile every time I see you, and @benelliottvoices you have such brilliant insight and attention to detail, I cannot wait to hopefully work with you both again :) Congratulations @leaderlooi for leading the charge on this, first project together yayayayay! Yesterday was an absolute blast, and the culmination of three years of hard, fulfilling work. When I was at @lamdadrama , I had the crazy idea to put together six audio dramas, made by 6 collectives of artists, to showcase peoples’ work, and to bring emerging and established creatives under the same roof. I wanted to make something really bloody cool. Black Mirror meets Love Death & Robots was my fixation, and to make something that I’m not only proud of, but listeners would love. So, with the help of @junnohofficial , we set about making this happen. We did a writers callout, and after an overwhelming response, connected with 6 directors, 6 sound designers, 6 composers, 6 companies of actors, did (most) recording live at @jukeboxstudioslondon . Ambitious is an understatement. We had script revisions, composition, tonnes of edits, artwork, trailers, and all of this, yes, all of it, came with absolutely zero budget, and zero use of AI. So it really was the blood, sweat, and tears of incredibly passionate, skilled, talented people. Last night the fruits of our labours could finally be enjoyed. At @thecastlecinema , we screened all 6 pieces for our cast, creatives, and their friends and family. What a wonderful venue, and what a wonderful reason to have so many incredible people in one space. Comfy chairs, low lighting, lots of alcohol, and 6 extraordinary audio dramas, about an AI arranged-marriage app, about an alien killing politicians, about life on Mars, about a robot in an elevator who makes a friend. About love, friendship, hilarious, scary, gripping, gory, shocking. THANK YOU to everyone who came along, for your great feedback, and for your support. I can’t wait to see what happens next :) The first one releases publicly on Friday 10th April. It would mean a lot to everyone involved if you gave it a listen, and shared it to high heavens. 📣 ROLE ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣 So, so happy to finally say that I was involved in the epic game @crimsondesert_ by @blackdesert_sa_es , and it is out right now to download and play! What a mammoth project, and what a privilege to be a part of it! I play Shane, the young Greymane in the main party, scary boss Muskan, as well as a tonne of other characters throughout the game. Shane was such a cool character to play, to join Kliff in his adventure across Pywell and the main storyline, and Muskan, I must say, was an intimidating guy to play (I mean, look at the guy! I actually gulped when I saw him), but I was happy to rise to it, and very grateful to be trusted to flex my skills to match it. Thank you so much @sideglobal , @j3sshearn , @kaiseyelder , and @victoriahoward_ for having me on board for this ride, Mark, Jay, and kimlpearce for your guidance and direction over endless hours these past few years, the engineers and producers who worked tirelessly on this, and @nordlingstalent for making this past year the best of my career so far. You guys honestly rock xx Also, it was so nice being at the wrap party last night, celebrating the game’s release, and meeting some of the awesome people who made it happen. Welcome back to Hearthfall, @shaunmendum ! Shaun is an actor/VA based in London. Originally a ballet dancer, Shaun now works as an actor, writer, and creative producer in theatre and audio. Audio credits include multiple video games, notably Baldur’s Gate 3, Wuthering Waves, Honkai: Star Rail, and Final Fantasy Tactics. Audio dramas include Vergil: A Mythological Musical, Initiation, and The Other Side. Shaun is Co-producer and Project Lead at Kobold Blue Productions, producing and acting in the sci-fi anthology series Cloud 9. Other credits include Sky Documentary Forced Out, fantasy audiobook Seven Recipes for Revolution, Julia Donaldson’s theatre show Stick Man, and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS The Musical.
