3 years of attending Lollapalooza in India. 🇮🇳
While the lines have become longer, the loos have become cleaner, band scanning has become seamless. We’ve spotted more high-rises, closed our rings getting in and out of the festival grounds. For music pilgrims like us, this annual rath yatra has delivered every year.
Dug out videos of my favourite sets from ‘24, ‘25 & ‘26. But there were so many sets where I just didn’t take my phone out, coz I was busy vibing. Those moments are sharper in my memory, like Jungle’s sunset set in ‘24, Jonita in ‘25, Anoushka Shankar and Keane in ‘24.

It’s red alert in Mumbai
The lady who works in our home, braved the weather to bring her best nauvaris and dhotars to dress us up to take photos.
We obliged; eager playmates as she draped us in her fabric, made up our hair, donned us with her jewels. We did her makeup, and dressed her up too.
We laughed, we danced, we got her to take photos with us. We negotiated with her shy protests of nahin-nahin as much as we could.
We hugged, we posed, we embraced.
This is love.
