I'm hosting a three-hour intensive workshop, where we’ll break down the mechanics of jumps and turns, refine technique, and build the strength needed for powerful, controlled movement. Reflecting on the artists, historians and authors who have inspired my journey: trailblazers like Patrick Parson, Alvin Ailey, Katherine Dunham, and Geoffrey Holder, alongside my great uncle Ron Ambrose, whose book Revisiting Union Island lovingly traces my family’s roots and cultural traditions. Their legacies remind me of the sacred act of listening to the soul (and our ancestors) and transforming it into movement—a sacred gift I hold dear. In my current work, I feel more grounded in intention and inspired by the strengths and stories of my family, ancestors, and artists who came before me. Where Have All the Orishas Gone? is a new work in progress, and I’m excited to continue its development in 2025. @knowyourcaribbean thehumanarchive @iamflorianschulze8 for designing my skirt. Soul Symphony - Solo Work Tanznacht Festival 2023 - @tanzfabrikberlinbuehne This solo served both as a personal reckoning and an embodied inquiry into the cycles of productivity, self-doubt, and mental health that have shaped my lived experience. With movement rooted in contemporary dance and supported by dramaturgical framing, this solo work served as a physical archive of my internal struggle—translating emotional turbulence into movement, form, and space. As I created this piece, I found myself returning to the quiet, often invisible labor of holding it together. Each section reflected a different phase of that journey: the push, the collapse, the stillness, and the slow rise toward self-acceptance. Soul Symphony was my offering. Residency week #1 @psr.at.heizhaus "Learning to let go more often and trust my body to flow naturally with the music, rather than forcing it to follow what I think it should do."

People thought we were done, but we’re only just getting started. Some might think we’re just dancing to techno, but we’re so much more than that. On September 14, 2024, we made history as Berlin’s first BIPOC and queer dance company, debuting a new genre: TECHNOBALLET But this isn’t just ballet set to techno music. This is my life’s story as a raver and ballet dancer, lived and told through dance. These are real experiences from the club scene, translated into powerful narratives onstage, embodying the highs, the struggles, and the journeys that shape us. This idea sprouted in 2019, and after many tried to copy, steal, and erase our presence WE CONTINUE TO SHOW UP! I’m beyond grateful to the extraordinary dancers who supported this vision. Each of these artists is a lightworker, a healer, and brings an immense talent to the stage, weaving their own stories and lived experiences into the work. Their presence transforms this piece from a performance into something truly alive. I couldn’t thank them enough for the power they bring, each of them a storyteller, each of them essential to this creation. This is choreography with substance, with purpose. This isn’t about trend or hype—this is art that speaks, that risks, that resonates. I’m not just choreographing; I’m DJing, dancing, and bringing lived stories to life through each performance. For anyone who thinks they know what techno ballet is, think again. This is something new, something real, something that matters. Over the past four months, I've been deep in it—writing, trying, failing, reflecting, sharing, dancing, laughing, eating, listening, learning, healing, and resting. It's not always easy to know if I'm on the right path, especially while juggling it all.
