Soooo I have officially decided to be gayyeeerrrrrrr.
I'm only alive when I'm my authentic self. All this cosplaying has brought forth a lot of dysphoria and PTSD. These past three weeks nearly took me out and I swear if I wasn't gay enough before, we are entering the Papa De 5.0 unapologetic upgrade of big juicy queer energy because pleaseee, I will not die until I'm ready.
The haters are only a motivation to keep going 😁
Current anthem by @yungdeadthing which has got me moving today after a fucking long time of being stuck in my body. I resonate. I stan.

Never got around to sharing this gorgeous feature by @photovogue . It came out at a difficult time when my my but i’m forever grateful for being seen by @alessiaglaviano and the many lovers who willingly participate in my passion shenanigans to bring mere ideas to lasting beauty.
As a queer person on the Asexual spectrum, this project Love(r)ships, is sparked from a quest to understand intimacy away from sex, allowing the idea of fluidity in friendships that centre safety in connections. Most of my projects are inspired by love first of all. I’m a lover and i always love to share my love with others. In fact, both my names mean love. I’m forever in awe with my tribe of lovers that i cross paths with and get a chance to experience, my own experiences of navigating new strange places as i’m always on the move.
Immensely grateful to my homie @khoiboimagic@artdepartmentjesse and their partner Kamo, @jem.ugw and @usimamkele@malebz24@melojaney@ke_lethabo@silliebee100 and @sanga_dim 🫶🏾

I used to own one dress that i would wear whenever i had to visit my father and grandma in the village. I did this for years because it was an abomination to go to the ancestral home in ‘improper clothes’. Overtime, my visits became less and less because they required a lot of mental preparation. One time, i forgot to cover up a tattoo that i had just gotten a month prior and my grandma lost her shit upon seeing me. Another time, i forgot to take out my septum and she almost disowned me and that was the last time i visited her.
In February this year, i shot my film, THAT UGANDAN FLAMING HOMOSEXUAL. The reason for the film was to reclaim my childhood, own my narrative and return to the many places that broke me, so i can finally make peace with my past. It took everything in me to return after at least 4 years and she welcomed me with very many mixed feelings. I didn’t tell her i was visiting. She criticised me upon landing, asking why i look that way, how i could possibly do those things to myself (piercings, tattoos, rings, green hair), how i could comfortably walk around like a mad woman without a care of what men will think of me. I ignored all of it and focused on the good times. In the end, she sold me this dress for 70$, 200k in Ugandan shillings and we said our goodbyes. I bought the dress as an archival of memory.
When i got home, she called my father and basically unleashed everything on him, on how a fool of a man he is to allow me to walk around like a nuisance, how dare he did that feel ashamed of me, and many more.
As someone who doesn’t even wear dresses, I wore the dress to a protest about the Anti homosexuality bill turned into law, did multiple interviews in it about the gruesome impacts of this law and it became my symbol of resistance.
Gomesi is a special Ugandan dress. Won by many Women in Uganda for so many different occasions. Depending on the fabric, weight, colour, design, quality; the dress is versatile and can be seen in churches, at weddings, at funerals, graduations, traditional gatherings etc so it is deemed disrespectful for a ‘homosexual’ to defy this tradition as we are classified as disgrace to society and culture.
⚠️ Please see my previous post for the global reality and the urgent rollbacks on trans rights this year. Visibility without protection is a death sentence.
To @_purely_ , always in gratitude for your lovership 🫶🏾

1st clip is of a journalist being beaten down and his camera equipment destroyed! Military presence is EVERYWHERE! Please amplify my people’s voices by sharing on your statuses and feeds so the world doesn’t look away! We have no access to what’s happening on the ground. There is no way to reach any of my people! This is a violation of human rights! #UgandaDecides2026 #KeepItOn #peaceforuganda.
As we count down for tomorrow, please put my country Uganda in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s Break the silence together as we are relying on international community to amplify this injustice! #UgandaDecides2026 #KeepItOn #Prayforuganda #electionday

The recent UK ruling on trans identity, Trump’s draconian strategies and the ripple effect of the likes of JK’s, Trans safety has been and is continually compromised and dismissed as if we are not as human as everyone else. Our ancestors lay a strong foundation, let’s continue to fuel that by showing up and reconvening as a collective. To our Cisters, if your feminism excludes trans people, you can shove that down your throat because this violence is really and violates every single human right.
We will also collect donations for Cleo, a trans woman currently incarcerated (read her story at @justice.forcleo ) and come with needed items; if you have them/extra.
We will show up to amplify, get angry and celebrate trans lives.
As the current changes in the world all turning against us with total disregard and hostility towards our being, we are showing up to express, relate, grief and celebrate ourselves and those whose activism and lives contributed to us being here and out there.
Make sure you come and invite your chosen families, allies and support systems. Hang around comrades and come with your water, opinions and drip!
We aim to show up for ourselves as well as those who are oppressed, our peers and friends that consistently face oppression of identity and criminalization of their existance.
We are here, we are queer, we are trans and we will continue to exist and be.
We aspire to reflect not only our survival but our continuity to live in body and spirit.
Chant, dance and walk.
Show up and show off!
Big gratitude to everyone who shared and volunteered! Even on the day, we will need help so if you didn’t make it into the group, feel free to dm again x
