We have worked with @forwardspaceuk to create a new coworking space, turning one of the main buildings on Camborne high street into a vibrant office. Along with @poyntonbradbury to create an inspiring space that brings life to the town centre.
Many different joinery elements have been designed to run throughout the space, including lockers, banquet seating, and kitchen. As we always do, a wide range of materials have been used to bring the space together. Here we have featured @fenixforinteriors verde comodoro, including the beautiful waterfall reception desk top, black @valchromat_official and @aguafabrics Furnisoft Taupe fabric.

Our focus here was on creating a clean, cohesive language across the center. We used a palette of decorative pine and industrial finishes to bridge the gap between the technical climbing areas and the social spaces. It’s about making a usable space that feels considered and intuitive. Great to see it evolving.

For Guildhall Chambers, we totally reconfigured the reception area. Turning it from a cramped room with limited uses to an open, flexible space that can be used for hosting clients, events and provides a lovely first impression of the building.
This room includes a large storage unit with a water station, a banquette seating area, and reception desk. The focus on materiality in this room was high on the agenda. Walnut, green leather, brass and fluted textures are used throughout. This has entirely transformed the feeling of the building and sets the tone for what is to follow.

This is Journeys with Mai. We worked with @theboxplymouth and @studionaama to create a fully custom hanging system for this exhibition. Our work includes bespoke frames, plinths and surrounds for display cases. This exhibition showcases some of the country’s most amazing art works and artefacts, including from @nationalportraitgallery and @britishmuseum , relating to Mai, the first Polynesia man to visit Britain, with particular focus on Sir Joshua Reynolds’ ‘Portrait of Mai’, painted in 1776. Combining the artistic vision of our clients with the practical realities of protecting such important works led to an extensive R&D journey, arriving at a solution that enables the exhibition to come to life.
The exhibition is open until the 14th June 2026 down in Plymouth at @theboxplymouth .

Guildhall Chambers is one of our largest ever projects. 5 years in the making, we have transformed this listed office building into a space that the Barristers will be proud to work in for many years to come. Our work includes the architectural design, building and site management, joinery design, fabrication and installation. We have opened up large areas of the building to create a new reception area, co-working spaces and a relaxed common room. This changes the space to make it fit for everyone using the building; staff, clients and barristers. Working with a building in Bristol’s old city is always an exciting challenge. Understanding the history and impact of the buildings is always important to achieve the best result.
We will have many posts showing the spaces, materials and details that make this space really work.

New work in the heart of Bristol for @shapebristol - I spent a brilliant day documenting their transformation of this Grade II listed barristers office’ - Had some fun with this one showing how the natural light interacts with a variety of materials including walnut, brass, richlite and foresso.
‘Shape Studio is a multi-disciplinary design and fabrication workshop that offers a complete in-house service that guarantees the highest quality and finish. Exploring a client’s brief, they design and manage architectural and build processes. These then inform bespoke joinery, fabrication and install.
Last year, Shape successfully refurbished a Grade II Listed Barristers’ Office in Bristol city centre, keeping to the 8 month programme and budget. The new open plan working and social spaces have been carefully opened up to expose original heritage features; invoking a modern take on traditional style. The joinery utilised high-end materials including walnut, brass, Richlite and Foresso.’
Revisiting an old project, @societycafe Baldwin Street, that we completed back in 2023. The project is centered around the large tile and @richlite bar running through the space, accentuated with ash and textured steel details throughout. Work involved the architectural and building work through to the joinery design, fabrication and installation.
