🦁 Safari Inn
1911 W Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91506
A Burbank landmark since 1955. This marquee has appeared in True Romance, Wonder Woman, and countless music videos. The motel still operates today — one of the last truly intact examples of 1950s roadside Americana in LA. 🎬
🍔 Bob’s Big Boy
4211 Riverside Dr, Toluca Lake, CA 91505
The oldest Bob’s Big Boy in the world, open since 1949 and a California Historic Landmark since 1993. Every Friday 5–10PM they host a classic car show in the parking lot. End your drive here and order a milkshake. 🚗

They were built in the 1920s to connect hillside homes to the Red Car trolley system, back when Los Angeles was one of the most walkable cities in the world. Then cars took over, the trolleys disappeared, and the stairs got forgotten.
