Beginning years…a poem about evolution. My eternal quest continues for laughter and friendship and beautifully hand crafted pokable wounds. Real hearty stuffing spilling out from the seams of our hand-stitched up bodies sneakily exposing all those beams of light we all hide inside for what feels like forever. It’s all hilarious if you think about it. Hearts are made to be broken free from glass cages. The structures we’ve built around us aren’t going to hold us inside much longer. Soon… and then we will lay in the grass…let our seams burst open and light will spill out, everywhere. Things are in play that cannot be undone now. I saw my Akashic Record and it said, in comic sans font, “lol, you idiot, duh”. Advice for 2026: the moment you stop looking around and comparing the life you have vs the life you are convinced you should have you’ll begin living the best life you never even knew you could possibly have but you’ll be too busy living it to have a care. This is the last album I’ll work at @gileadmedia before it’s closed and I feel some kinda way about it. Over the last who knows how many years I’ve had the privilege of working on most of all the releases at Gilead Media. I met @downtomysoul at Live Laugh Levapalooza Fest for the first time where he let me know about a bunch of bands he wanted me to work with including @yelloweyesband @imperialtriumphant @fallsofrauros.official @whollydoomedblackmetal HELL, and so so many more. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most passionate and hella weird and ultra talented humans. Some I’ve gone on to work with in a much deeper way through my management & PR company and most I’ve developed ultra strong bonds with. I became known in this weird little industry space as the one who thrives with weird shit. That is the highest honor. I have so much pride in my time with Gilead Media and I’m sad it’s coming to an end but I’m also so stoked for Adam to flourish in his new way. Go listen to Yellow Eyes, Confusion Gate. I often wonder how many thousands of variables have to convene in just the right mixture for things to happen the way they happen. These attempts at understanding the strings of the universe become so overly complex and beautiful that my heart feels overwhelmingly overfull. Two years in the making, planning, building, and carefully crafting and loving like a delicate little flower, I can’t truly describe what happened this past weekend. I feel like I am in a dream and haven’t been able to wake up quite yet. This thing we nurtured and made with our hands and our love actually happened and we made it the most beautiful thing I’ve experienced. I stood atop the concert bowl of Red Eagle and looked down to see thousands of people - from all walks of life - celebrating and singing and raging and sharing and healing and raising a vibration so powerful I had to walk into the woods for an ugly girl cry. Some things just can’t be explained. And I love that for us. Thank you for believing in this and trusting us.
